i found that a good way to remember hiragana is to learn onomatopoeias! as you go throughout your day, you can apply certain onomatopoeias to certain situations and write them down and doodle them and all that and before you realize it, you've already remembered the letters :O it's especially good because japanese has a LOT more onomatopoeias than english

This is the order I learned the Hirigana if this helps anyone: a-i-u-e-o ka-ki-ku-ke-ko sa-shi-su-se-so and so on. I'm currently in Japanese I and this is the way my teacher has us learn them. We would focus on one section per week, it's slower but your brain has more time to process it. For example for Week 1 we did a-i-u-e-o plus vocab.

Omg your studying techniques really help me remember my hiragana and katakana!! Omg i remember a i u e o perfectly but I was having trouble with the constants with vowel ( ka ki etc) and I remembered them In 5 mins!! Tysm!!

I’ve been saying that katakana is the most difficult since the beginning. Can’t even write my name correctly. I have mastered hiragana and learned 200 kanjis but for some reason, katakana never gets to me.

I started learning how to form simple sentences in Japanese at age 15 but I ended up taking German at the same time during my Sophomore year so I gave up on Japanese but I'm getting back into it. So I'm really happy you made this video :) I'm a senior now so I'm hoping I can become fluent by time I'm ready to move to Japan but I'm going to Japanese language classes soon as well. I'm 17 now so I want to be fluent in it by at least 23 or 24 :)

your story is so similar to mine ahhh!! I'm going to Germany next year but I still feel like Japanese grammar is easier to understand, even though I haven't studied it in a few years. xD

For everyone struggling to learn a language the easiest language to learn as the one you hear all the time. I was struggling to learn Chinese because I never hear anybody speak it so I gave up on that and picked up Japanese. AND LET ME TELL YOU: Japanese was so much easier to learn than Chinese because I had grown up watching anime in Japanese and English. subconsciously I had been learning how to differentiate between certain words. Even knowing how to properly pronounce character names gives you a fountain on the language. So here is my TIP: learn the rules, listen to people speak it (watch shows were the characters sound realistic and not super cheesy), and find a app that makes learning a game.

honestly you can learn the kanas in literally 1 week with kana.pro i swear this isn't some kind of bot ad it's just an alt account i have but bro literally the site has no ads i don't know how they make money from traffic to keep the servers up but it's just a kana quiz and just like you learn in school this site is perfect to me idk i probably should change my pfp because i realize how much of a bot i look like. if you're skeptical i found the site when i first started learning japanese by looking up "hiragana quiz" and looking at all the sites if you try it let me know what ya think because it literally let me speed run learning kana. just start with the a-e-i-o-u category and progress

So, do you study hiragana and katakana at the same time or learn hiragana and then after you've mastered that (Being able to write them down, pronounce the sounds) do you then move on to Katakana? Also, do you memorize the combinations for hiragana and katakana as well? Sorry for the big question, I just don't wan't to mess up. Thanks again to anyone who answers! *(I hope lol)*

I know some people say you have to learn one first, but I'm learning both together and I write hiragana on the left and katakana on the right of the symbol. Idk how it'll go but I have seen people saying learning both worked for them. Late reply, I know, but I hope you're still hanging in there. I have dropped tbe language more times than I can count, so gambare.
