I found that fascinating. Thought you are really brave for sharing . I make some big wins and some big losses so working on my discipline and of course psychology to keep my emotions in check. Picked up a few pointers from your video. So thank you and very best wishes …. To you and everyone trading, it’s not easy but i do love the process. 👋

You said everything right about the main mistakes, about the importance of psychology and discipline. I have been trading short term for 5 years on Fybit and I completely agree with you. But I wouldn’t go to a prop company. Extra pressure on the psyche and decision making.😬

I started trading 2 years ago after the painful experiencing of learning and losing for 3 years while holding a demanding full time job. I have a good strategy and have taken my small account up 5x from $4,000. It is getting to the point that the money is building pretty nice through the power of compounding. Even so, I joined the 5% because with a solid strategy I can make more money with their capital once I jump through the hoops (which as I have said "is tough while working a demanding 12 hour per day job") I figure that a person can triple the risk to reward for a faster growth. The maximum I could use on my forex account with leverage on my funds, trading the 5 min time frame on my strategy is a $200 risk. I use a 1:1.5 risk to reward strategy with 10% of my account ($200). My profit rate is anywhere from 40% to 60%, but mostly stick around the 50% mark, so I am slowly moving ahead on my personal account. With the $100,000 challenge with my win rate, if I stick to my rules under my continued win to loss ratio, I could use a $1000 risk to make $1500. That is a big increase of potential profit, and it still uses 10% of my allowable $100,000 account that can be used for leverage; I'm used to a 10%risk. My maximum loss number has never been over 5 consecutive losses, and that was once quite some time ago. It is possible by the capital that I can use from a prop account, to very quickly build my personal account and even collect a salary from this firm if things were to go extraordinarily well. Until my account is big enough, this will have me moving ahead much faster than I could at the level that I am at. If a person had a $100,000 or $200,000 account, there would probably be no need to use a prop firm, but if you are ready and are experienced/profitable at trading, yet have not got enough funds to get off the ground, this is a great resource. This will take me a while due to my job, but once it's done, I can focus on putting more time into it. I'm an old guy and this has been my hobby for the last few years. I have to shit or get off the pot.

Hi Emily, I don't think you should change your High Stakes challenge pursuit. You're such an inspiration. I've taken the 20K High Stakes challenge. it took me one month to achieve 8% for phase I and two weeks to achieve 5% for Phase II. I'm now working on receiving my first ever payout this month! To put this in pespective. I started taking prop firm challenges in February of 2023. I blew 8 challenges straight before passing phase I and phase II of a 5K High Stakes challenge in October 2023. I blew that account before receiving a single payout. I then took another 5K High Stakes challenge and blew that account too! After I started journaling my trades and limiting myself to one trade a day at 1% I took the 20K High Stakes challenge from which I'm now expecting to receive a payout this month.

I did it last week (went against my system) . It is a lot more difficult to retain the concentration when there is so many other tasks that need to be given concentration on too . I find reducing my risk and in turn reducing my potential profit helps me to think more clearly when life gets in the way .

After four years of trading and having winning and losing trades like any other trader, I got tired of the emotional aspect of the up's and downs and the way it was making me feel and how it was affecting my personal life and mental and financial well being. I took a course from a true professional that worked in Wall Street and I also put in the time as well. The harsh reality is if the ones that are making money from trading are the brokers charging commission and selling order flow, as well as the market makers and course sellers of the world selling the laptop lifestyle that's a total dream and fallacy. Getting rich long term through buy and hold dividend stocks and s&p 500 index fund is the for sure way to gain financial wealth. Wish you the best of luck Emily with trading hope it works out for you in the long run.

I have two kids. 2,5yo and 11month old. I had to stop trading during this time. I couldn’t even study. I worried about the time forget everything. So from after few weeks and months, from time to time I opened the chart and traded demo. Or watched trading content. But I had almost 1 year with no trading at all. No social media etc. and even now. It’s almost impossible to make my full analysis. I have to change my strategy into more swing. I had to change few things. Starting study and demo again. Get my confidence back. I skip backtesting. No time. I do fortesting. I can just sit on my laptop around 20.00 pm ( if I am lucky). Pretty tired. But I get through this. For my kids. I skip trading days. If I slept horrible. Or I feel sick. I am happy a female trader talks about this. Sound of your voice and video are nit synch.

Speaking of that, using your link and discount (thanks for that) I entered the $60K High Stakes Challenge way back in September and still have not achieved the 8% gain, but am still alive in the original program. Hey Emily i want to take your opinion, i feel really down i spent 3 years of hard work and dedication sacrificed everything from time good job time to be able to be profitable in forex and I finally started to see a little bit of results. I’m fearing US government to start going after prop firms i m not a U.S citizen but I’m afraid all that time and effort i spent will be wasted id something happens with prop firms. Would love your opinion on that Also regarding your video, i would encourage you to continue trading i realized that you improve little bit by time but you don’t realize it. So keep going as long as you have time to trade. I was wondering do you work full time in the morning or you don’t work or you work afternoon. This video is a complete waste of time. You went on and on about how you should not have traded with all the distractions you had. You talked about 2 positions you opened, it seems to me that anyone trading, even without distractions, would have suffered the same losses as you as the market could have moved in either direction at those points.
