I watched this video many years ago when I was first getting started with THM. I have recently decided to come back to THM and have started binge watching all of your videos again. I know that you haven’t posted in a long time, but I just wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed all of your videos! You inspired me years ago and inspire me again now. Your videos have made a difference, and I just wanted to thank you. Hope you are well.

Thanks for sharing Marissa!! I've been into THM for almost 3 years but have never been truly consistent with it!! I keep coming back to it because I know it's the right way for me to eat. You've encouraged be to really make an effort with consistency! Thanks!!

Thank you so much for sharing your THM testimony! I started a program about 3.5 years ago that is similar to THM and lost 40 pounds. I was had cut sugar but still cheated and the cheating increased until I gained a little over 20 pounds back. I found a recipe online that used oat fiber and was looking it up online. Google took me to the THM shop. I was curious what this was and started looking into it. THM is similar to what I was doing but with more freedom to use healthy foods that I love, like avocado. :) I got the book and have been kinda doing the program halfway (to many XO) and am now back down to where I originally lost. I have about 50 pounds more I would like to loose. Your testimony resonated with me, I too have learned that I am an emotional eater that has struggled with my body image for most of my life. I know God brought both programs into my life, not so I can look a certain way, but so that I can have the energy to serve Him. Each program came just when I needed it. I love THM and know that this is how I am supposed to eat. I am setting my mind to preparing for my week so that I am equipped so stay on plan.....one week at a time. I just found your channel today and love it. Thank you for sharing. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Sorry this is so long.

Thank you so much for commenting and for watching my videos! And thank you for sharing a little about YOUR story. I LOVE hearing people's stories. I truly hope you find freedom from whatever is causing the emotional eating and body image issues. :( It is SO hard, my heart goes out to you cause I lived in that place so long and of course still do at times. Life is just hard. That's wonderful that you know God brought these two ways of eating into your life. You can do it!! Especially if you rely on Him each day, offering the results up to Him. Wishing you all the best!!

Thanks for watching and commenting, Katy! I'll have to start planning and thinking about that emotional eating video. It's pretty heavy stuff so I'll have to figure out how to best present it. Thanks so much for your interest in it. (I had to rewatch the video to catch the edit you were talking about. Lol! I made this awhile ago and couldn't remember what you were referring to. Funny! 😀)

I'm a 55 year old woman, post-menopausal. I gained a 120 lbs during and after menopause. Our family lost 5 very close family members within just a few years during that time also. All of that said, I've never seen a THM weight loss testimony from some of someone with that much to lose.

This is similar to my story. I haven’t had the success I’ve wanted on THM previously but am trying again and hopefully doing it correctly and will lose about 20 pounds. Like you I added weight with my pregnancies (ten babies) and didn’t loose much nursing then. 😩 Have you always lived in Alaska? My son is in the Air Force and met his wife in Fairbanks but she was from Anchorage! (They just moved to Italy....quite the climate change. 🙂) I’m enjoying your videos...tfs.

Oh my. I had a tiny amount of Halloween candy and freaked out yesterday and had to apologize to my family! I wonder if the sugar was part of it. Not sure but will definitely pay attention! We don’t have sugar often so it should be easy to observe. I have been Thm about 4 years too!

Hi Juanita! I have something called Low Temperature Syndrome (also called a Reverse T3). They treat it the same as Hypothyroidism. It's made a difference being on the right meds. I hope you find some help if you have similar issues.

Thanks so much for sharing your story. It was helpful. Would you suggest I purchase the cookbook and the THM Plan book or is the cookbook all I need to start? Also is there a lot of special food to purchase through the THM store?
@MarissasKitchen6 жыл бұрын
Hi Steph! I'm not sure if you already ordered the books; so sorry for the delayed response! I would definitely recommend buying the plan book as well as the THM cookbook (the one prior to Trim Healthy Table). Trim Healthy Table does have a concise and well written overview of the plan in the beginning but I personally feel like the cookbook is sort of "THM recipes 2.0." Others might disagree, but I feel like the Trim Healthy Mama cookbook seems to have simpler recipes.
@MarissasKitchen6 жыл бұрын
There are quite a few products you can use to make THM easier and more enjoyable but you don't have to buy them in order to make the plan work. Thanks so much for asking these questions. You just might see me answer them in a future video. 🙂

So how are you doing almost a year later. My I ask why you live in such a remote place?
@MarissasKitchen6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for asking, Jeanie! Since I'm traveling on a five month trip right now, I knew THM would be much more challenging on the road than if I were home. For the first three months of my trip, I've stayed within 2 1/2 lbs of my goal weight (goal weight is 125 lbs. My body seems to like 127 lbs). This past month has been harder for various reasons and I'm up a couple lbs to 129 lbs. But I'm not too concerned with knowing that THM works and I have a game plan to get back to where I was. The reason we lived in the bush is that we work with a ministry called Send North that does church planting in remote areas of Alaska and Canada. We did youth ministry and my husband is a pilot. We're still with the same ministry, but my husband is now working at the headquarters in Anchorage.
