I haven't had a baby, but I've gained A LOT of weight since being in a relationship. I am awful when it comes to motivating myself and always just give up after a week. I've now started working out with my friend (who is a proper gym bunny) in the garden doing HIIT and I finally realised that it can be fun! I think working out with a good friend who will motivate you is a great alternative if you can't afford a personal trainer! I'm really hoping I stick to it this time, and am already looking forward to the next session!

In my head I thought I would EASILY drop the weight in 3 months. Nope LOL. I gained a healthy amount too, around 30 lbs (I stopped weighing myself at the end bc it was getting to me). My little one is now 7 months and I'm back in my jeans again...same just made smarter choices and stayed in motion (walks w baby helped a lot!) I'm not 100% where I'd like to be but like you said, feeling good and comfortable again. I think women are too hard on themselves after having a baby. It took 9 months to grow our little miracle babies we need to be kind to our bodies!!!! Thanks for this great vid, Sam. 😊💗

I have a 5 week old and I have not weighed myself and do not plan to anytime soon. I think it really helps because I don't focus on numbers but instead focus on my health, how I feel and how I look. I am already feeling much more confident even though I'm still a way off my pre baby figure (if I ever get it back) and I don't have a number weighing on my mind

Hey, good sensible advice, no tricks just a mixed diet in moderation and moving your body. Whilst I regained my body quickly after my babies, I felt it took 2 years after each to feel 100% myself. Between tiredness and not having much me time, it was what's on the inside that took longer to get back to normal. Feeling like yourself is so liberating when you've given your mind and body to another human for a while! X

I lost all he baby weight by breastfeeding and a year after I put it back... definitely the body will never work the same. gotta work extra hard to get back in shape. Also, they say you should wait around a year to get back in the gym. Girls just take your time, we don't have to get our bodies back asap, our bodies go through SO much!!! just chill and enjoy he baby. you'll have he rest of your life to be back in track. i think we all just need to chill about post baby weight. completely normal and natural. Especially if your are not overweight and it's just a few kilos. we all super moms (: we don't need something else to worry about

@Misslou24257 жыл бұрын
Sometimes it is also a lot to do with genetics. I am on baby #3. l have a 4yr old...a nearly 3yr old and am almost 5mths along. With the first 2 l was back to prepregnancy clothes by 12 days post baby. ( 30lb gain with #1. 37lb gain with #2) That isnt necessarily normal for most women...but l gathered that genetically it happens to be my portion. l would encourage women to do all that you said... But keep in mind: a nursing mother may retain extra weight until she weans ( I kept 10 lbs till weaning). Some mothers drop weight simply by nursing. Some ladies end up smaller than they were b4 children. Some women never return to prepreg. size. lt takes 38-40wks to put that Weight on and perhaps just as long or longer to take it off. The hips may remain wider. The breasts may remain bigger or go even smaller than before. The greatest take away from it all is....you are now a.mother. You can be just as magnificent as before! and even better than b4! lt is all in your perception of self though!
@alikat82217 жыл бұрын
Ooh, I could never have "cut down" on portions post pregnancy... the general consensus on breastfeeding diets is to eat MORE than you needed whilst pregnant.

I had 4 pregnancies and every time I have gotten smaller than I've ever been since before pregnancy. nursing has helped so much I nurse up to a year. I've only intended on losing baby fat and just toning up I prefer not to be so small but since I can't help it I just focus on toning not losing weight. I do eat fairly healthy. your doing well focus on the way you look not the scale I prefer measurements .your body isn't going to really look exactly the same as your body matures and you have children your doing well love your body girl you've been blessed

Hey Sammi! Lovely video, you look absolutely radiant! I was wondering, I work as a physical therapist with a lot of mums (post birth), here in France they are advised to come see us and work their pelvic floor after 2 and half months and once that is done we work on a special kind of abs, to get them back to where they are supposed to and avoid all sort of problems... How is it there in the UK? Do you feel like you're correctly informed and helped after birth? It is really important and I was wondering how other countries approach it :) thank you! I love your channel :) xxx Sarah

Thank you so much for taking the time to show me this! It was very interesting to read from her point of view, and indeed I come from Spain where women over 40 think it is normal to have some incontinence from time to time or other issues, since living in France and working here I've manage to reverse that in ladies that were over 80 years old...so there are solutions and these issues should be addressed, Thank you so much fro the article! Have a good day!
@hobbitylou7 жыл бұрын
RedtoToes I gave birth 3,5 months ago and all mothers here (Belgium) encouraged to go see a professional for pelvic floor and ab exercises. The first to prevent later incontinence problems and the latter to strenghten your entire core. It's very important to first stabilize your core and back muscles before starting to exercise again. Running etc. before your pelvic floor is in good shape could create injuries that will surface only years later, eg prolapse and such. My physio also told me you're not to do crunches until at least 6 months postpartum.
@SuppleChicTV7 жыл бұрын
I live in the united states and to my knowledge no one say anything to you about pelvic floor, the only time ive heard about pregnancy-related work is if you have a hernia, which alot of women tend to have, to get it fixed though your doctor has to make a case to your health insurance company and get it approved.
@RedtoToes7 жыл бұрын
SuppleChicTV wow... I had no clue, I thought for some reason that in the US it might also be done. There is a lot to be discussed about this topic... I am sometimes concerned for women who don't have someone to talk to and find solutions with, with this topic sometimes we can feel lonely and that's why I think sharing information, awareness and methods that work in respect of the body is important!
