in 1975 one of my coworkers drove one similar to yours, it was Plum Purple. I asked he said 'I went to the dealer and ordered the truck and when they got to color, I said I want something different' Probably the only Plum Crazy sweptside Dodge ever built.

That's cool. A lot of guys were swapping the 72 up D100 front frame clip to the 61-71 frame, then getting dropped spindles, etc. Great work!

yeah!!!😁 the frame under my truck is almost identical to the one der the ramcharger since I used a 1978 frame. 72 to 93 were pretty much the same!

DAMN DUDE!!!! Love your truck!! I almost have my '65 D100 on the road. I lowered it using a chrysler 300 front end (K-member & torsion bars) ... I love the patina on your ride!

I just picked up a 85 w150 To play around with. It’s very clean but looking to pull the 318. 360 is an easy replacement but your 440 sounds amazing.

you can't go wrong with a 440!!!😁 yes the 360 is a much easier swap, but a 440 is a bolt together project as long as you have all the parts

I pieced it together, I bought a caltracs traction bar setup for a 66 to 70 b body mopar, and modified it to fit the truck. and that gave me the lower spring plates, and then I welded on new shoes on the rear end

stock rebuild on a 1968 block, 10 to 1 compression, nothing special for a cam, but edelbrock carb and intake with long tube ceramic coated headers into 3 inch dual exhaust, 3 inch by 14 inch glasspacks out the side of the bed

All of that work when all you had to do was modify the suspension of the 1968 frame. And you wouldn't have to cut off or transform any of the body of the 1968 D100 body. SMH.

nope! disc brakes, independent front suspension, 440, 4 speed, 8 3/4 3.23 suregrip. it's a hot rod, not a work truck
