Before and After: We work on the 1976 Dodge D-100 pickup truck and try to get it to run on its own, fix the floors, and clean up this old forgotten farm truck to make it presentable for a quick flip. I offer up some tips for flipping a vehicle along the way. The Truck is FOR SALE for $1,000 or Trade - If you're interested in this project truck, eMail dalethestockcardriver@gmail.com

I like the vehicle flipping idea there's too many guys that have 40 cars laying around that they "rescued" or really just dragged home to rot in there own yard with no plan to do anything with

As much as I like to see a project go smoothly, you learn so many new things watching a video where everything is messed up and you don't want to spend too much money to fix it. Loved watching you work on this old truck; I know I would have lost a lot more money if I was trying to do same thing.

Leaving my wrench on the other side of whatever I'm working on is the story of my life too. So, as a not so idiotic idiot, I now use 2 wrenches or ratchets. I have 2 IDENTICAL tool sets, and I put them on EITHER side of what I'm working on. One under the power barn on the ground, one up inside the power barn. One in the interior of whatever I'm doing one on the exterior. Cost me twice as much ONCE when I bought an identical set of tools (wrenches ratchets sockets the whole 9 yards) but it's probably saved me 100 hours in forgetting my tool on the other side. Yup. edit: YES! Berryman's B-12, THE Italian tune up in a can! (I'm an Italian American I can say that!! hahaha) GREAT job on that carb after the glue went through it!!

Many years ago I had a 76 D100 short bed 4x4 with factor custom paint. ( look it up it was a real thing) I bought a fresh rebuilt surplus police interceptor 440 from the county auction. Dropped that in place of the 400 pos it had in it and had a lot of fun for many years. But it was a Dodge😢, lots of starter and electrical issues. The stock starter has a copper flat washer in the solenoid for a contactor and when all it would do is go click with the key meant it was time to take it out and turn the washer over or sand it smooth and put it back. The trucks final straw with me was with the fuse panel under the glove box cover that was always blowing fuses, because it was a Dodge and I always replaced them with whatever metallic thing I could find because a fuse would just blow anyway. When the panel started to sag down into the dash from the heat it created with no fuses to pop it was time to let it go to someone else. That and the 440 had brutal torque and over time I broke the front and rear ends and gears and axles what ever. Snapped the trans mount adapter off. Blew reverse on fresh rebuild Trans the first weekend out. But it was a fun truck I almost miss it. Lol

The giant wrench appears to me to be an air hose wrench from a locomotive or caboose which brakeman/switchman use to change out the brake line air hoses when they fail over the road. They also work as sledge to move lever handles or put a beating on a panel etc. Really enjoy your KZbin Channel.

It has the exact same thing engine, transmission and all, ofc it is a 75 but they are virtually the same. The thing that caught my eye on the truck is it was used in the U.S. Navy which I find amazing. So you doing a video on another 70's D-100 I love! My younger brother was a backhoe operator for a St louis company, and his laborer sold him one identical to this for 200.00, same color and everything, and the hole in the floor. It had a miss in 1 and sometimes 2 cylinders and had new plugs and wires, compression wasnt that bad on all the cyls either. Now this was in the 85ish era and our heavy drinking beer days, we had to go to our homestead farm to get 2 TO20 rear tires to get replaced, it had a little air horn , that played the Mexican song Hot Tamales , Hot Tamlaes get them while they are hot , theme LOL, and went by the Walmart in Warrenton for beer ,and a bunch of Chicks standing around got a kick out of it, this thing missing and looking and running like a POS. So we got up to the farm, I kept asking him if it was running HOT, cause my feet where like burning up from the firewall heat, oh a little bit it always does. The beer tasted real good getting the tires off the TO 20, that hadnt been off in 30+yrs, started up Big Springs Hill on Hwy 19, and dropped another cyl , so now it has 4 hitting cyl and smoke and steam coming out the back, and 2nd gear is all it would do, sounded like a airplane engine , only a 4 cyl one, we drove that thing all the way back to Warrenton Mo. He pulled the head off, and Dad had a valve grinder, they found that the intake passages in the head, where so gummed up with carbon and oil, it was unreal, 2 cyls intake passages where almost plugged solid!! Those slant 6 ,s I am convinced are almost indestructible the way he abused it, by the way the hole in the floor was a good way to get rid of beer cans, the rear wheel crushed them LOL He got it running on all 6 and some dude he knew needed a cheap truck to drive, while his wrecked new one got fixed and made a couple hundred on it.

Great job , resurrecting that Dodge D100 from the mechanically undead 🙏🔧🔩💀 I'm genuinely impressed with your ability too repair that seat & align it in the cab . Not too mention , how well that Super Clean , washed away that toxic waste out of that new carburetor . That's AWESOME !! Hope you & Mr JD have a great Christmas 🎄 ( or festivus )
