Hey John, please consider that there is no appropriate amount of worry. Worrying is an involuntary reaction that wastes energy. While we should all forgive ourselves for that waste, we can also take a deep breath and make the choice to proactively help others, just like you said. We'll make ourselves feel better as well as those to whom we lend a helping hand.

I'm sorry, I know what that's like -- I'm disabled and work from home so I'm in this situation a lot already. If you are able to do phone calls or video calls with friends or family, that will help. Podcasts are great for feeling less alone. And I've seen various virtual open mics being organized if that's something you'd be interested in. Arranging to watch a show or movie at the same time as a friend can be fun too even if you can only message back and forth during it. I think a lot of people are going to be in this situation, and hopefully there will be more opportunities to connect virtually, like with the open mic.

There is not that much "new" about the corona virus. It's a new virus that's caused concern but the problem of pandemics and other disease outbreaks is so common throughout history that it bothers me when people use the term "unprecedented." I take a lot of comfort in knowing that we are so much more advanced in virology than they were in 1918. Both of my parents were alive when polio was still a major problem in the U.S. and this isn't much different from that.

Hello John, with the current situation my college has moved to online classes, which for me does not work out very well. My problem is that I'm facing overwhelming anxiety over every one of my classes, due to either lack of communication between me and professors or general internet incompetence from my more elderly professors (which of course is not their fault). What would your advise be for someone who cannot see the light at the end of this tunnel, being told that the rest of the semester (that I've already fully paid for) is now online

With the real AFC Wimbledon now unlikely to have a game for at least a month, thank heavens there's always this. And we're 100% safe with Ruffo in goal - he'll never catch anything. Own goal or not, was the fourth goal the first time John has ever scored from a corner?

@@rabbitwho i still dont think they get a pass. I young hank green would probably have even made a video calling out people for not standing up for medicare for all. Also the USA is so corrupt so where is the vlogbrother video explaining that are democracy is dying and we cant just vote we also have to literally pay and donate to make our vote count. It is totally true if bernie didnt have as many donations the DNC wouldnt have even let him win one state. There is hella cheating going on it isnt ok that some people voted yesterday during a pandemic. It isnt ok a former president bargained with pete and amy to drop out, the exit polls are hella weird and frankly it isnt ok tulsi wasnt in the last debate bc the original rules would have let her in it.
