45 year-old-male here. Got back into CrossFit after beating cancer. Mr. Grubb has been an inspiration for the past year-plus. This'll be my first Open. I'll go scaled, but I'm totally stoked for it. I'm great at body weight stuff, like pull-ups, endurance, running, BJs. Not so great with heavy weights, so I hope the heavy snatches aren't in the Open. Thanks for the constant motivation! And, yes, I'll be cheering for your sixth win!

I'm with you on 24.1. I remember looking at that workout and thinking, "I like those two moments and I can actually do the Rx weights. This isn't going to be all that bad." Then I did the workout and realized just how wrong I was. 😂 It was one of those workouts where the harder you pushed, the harder it pushed back.

Would like to see crossovers and pullovers this year to spice it up

Being a 45-year-old novice, 5’10” and only 167 lbs, I’d love to see workouts like 24.1 and 2, 19.1, or even 17.5. Anything with MU’s and/or heavy barbells and I’m toast!

This is my first year to officially participate. I still suck at DUs, RMUs and OH BD Lunges, so I don't want to see any of those. Obviously, we'll see all those, now that I put that our in the universe🤣😒

Work on dubs 5 mins a day now until the first open workout. You may surprise your self.

I worked on dubs for 8 months 5 min a day and I was able to do dubs in the open. Speed rope is the way to go

@@crossbowhunter9118 Good advice! That's actually my current game plan. I've been doing dubs 10 minutes a day for about a month and a half and that's been working pretty well. I've seen improvement! Hoping to get to a place where I can do big sets consistently. I am jealous when I hear people days DUs feel like rest during a WOD🤯

Ha ha!! Yes! Now, we'll have all of those!

I did 'flight simulator' or 1/2 flight simulator multiple times a week when I was learning.
