My journey in property investing began with buying a run-down one-bedroom ex-council property in Battersea Park, London. Using the buy-to-let strategy or BRR strategy, I transformed it into a two-bedroom flat, modernizing it along the way. Once refurbished, its value jumped to £320,000. I refinanced it based on this new value, pulling out most of my initial investment using the bridging finance strategy.
This strategy of buying, refurbishing, and refinancing, allowed me to recycle my initial funds into new properties. I repeated this process with other properties, gradually building up my portfolio. Alongside this, I also utilized the serviced accommodation business model, renting properties from other landlords to offer on Airbnb or Booking.com and making substantial profits from holiday rentals.
