Mod Podge all foam before you spray it and if you add some black or a colour of your choice then it also counts as a primer.

My favorite mix is 50/50 BFTBG and Typhus Corrosion, it's a great dark and crunchy old gore splatter. I use it mostly on my Necron Flayed Ones, so not nearly as much as say Poxwalkers. Great option if you're only doing a few units.

Thank you! Yeah I'm properly proud of that intro. I was trying to make something inspired by the movie Se7en, but I had no idea it would come out as something with that level of energy to it. Thank you, really :)

Haven’t looked at price comparisons but gloss medium works really well.

Yeah I’ll give that a go next and see how it compares. Thank d imagine it’s probably much cheaper than the water texture.

Second this! I use the big 250ml Winsor & Newton Galeria Gloss Medium with airbrush flow improver and red, brown, purple inks and it works great!

Loving this channel already. The quality of the builds for someone who says they are still learning basic build techniques is astounding. For the hood, you could try dried out wet wipe sheets, soaked in watered PVA. It can be moulded to shape and sets to a very convincing sack/canvas effect. Good for market stall awnings, tarps over cargo etc
@thedefector
@thedefector Жыл бұрын
Yes! I never thought of that. I’ve used the dried wet wipe technique before to make tarp over pallets. Good shout!

Hey thanks bud! Sorry this one took so long. I'm still trying to figure out how best to approach these projects. I'll never know how some crafters out there are making professional videos and releasing them weekly. Who knows, I might get there some day :)

33:30 you can also use a toothbrush and run your thumb over the bristles. gives you a realistic spatter of blood drops. Give it a practice on some paper :) good video also, bit long, but good

Thank you! That’s a great tip. And I agree with the video length, it’s too long. I’ll definitely make future videos a good amount shorter.

Awesome work man! Very intuitive and inspiring. I'm not a particular fan of GORE stuff, but I love the detail you've applied on your work specially on the "guts". Keep up with that "humble" way to be, that's wonderful. The internet it's full "Guru's" claiming that they're really good in what they're doing.. :P Just a little "audience tip" try to cover all in the 10 minutes window, more than that most people don't have time to watch it all. Another tip, don't pay attention to this kind of comments trying to change the way you present your work, and keep everything as you like and with your own "style, that will make the difference in the end.

Thank you. That's all excellent advice, and I certainly agree with the video length. 40 minutes for a tutorial video is just far too much. This probably should just have been two separate videos. Definitely going to make shorter videos in future. Thanks again!

Great video, did some gore effects for the first time myself recently (UHU, blood for the blood god and sepia calligraphy ink) really like the PVA 'skin' and the other gutsy bits though, I'll be trying some of that! Keep up the excellent work 👍
