How I Made Amazing CUTTING BOARD from SCRAP Wood

Hello guys!
In this video I want to show how I made an amazing cutting board from scrap oak wood which would end in a wood chipper.
This scrap wood are basically leftovers from the woodworking production.
When I saw this already moulded oak cubes near the wood chipper I thought about possibilites to make something valuable out of them and made pretty awesome natural oak cutting board.

Years ago a friend made me a coffee table. The top was designed with scrap pieces of different varieties of wood of different shapes and sizes...... put together like a puzzle. It was beautiful and so durable. 😊😊 maybe you could make a table that way too.

Scrap oak in the wood chipper?! I am glad you used some of it to make this beautiful cutting board. Maybe you will think of some other small projects for the scrap wood. What did you finish the cutting board with?

Yes, we also make wooden pellets. But some of the scrap wood is still usable :) with food contact oil :)

Beautiful project...... but I was always told to not use Oak for a cutting board because the cell structure was not closed and could possibly harbor bacteria. Other woods are fine, like maple and bamboo, but stay away from Oak..... your thoughts??? I have lots of Oak and would love to use it for a cutting board!!!! LOL! Thanks for sharing!!! :)

The wood for this boards was turned with end faces upwards. Also, wood was sanded and oiled, so I think that cell structures are closed. I have never heard about this problem, thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Thanks! I agree with you I have a lot of potential because my dad owns this amazing woodworking shop and lets me use it, but I cannot agree with you on the last statement. It takes years of work and skills to do something like this. We employee 12 workers, but maybe 3 of them could make something like this :)

You have to have the dedication, interest , skills and imagination to create the workshop is a bonus. I have no doubt they could easily do it all with regular tool from the hardware store

What oil did you use on the boards.

Parafine oil mixed with olive oil. I think it is the most natural and also compatibile with food.

It's unusual to see a drip slot only on 2 sides, they're normally on all 4
