How much free time do you have to create machines beyond my comprehension?

Very, very impressive! Having built massive, complex redstone machines myself, this is no easy feat!! Very well executed!! Also, overcomplicating systems is what we redstoners do best!! Never thought to transmit signal strength over long distances in that manner before. I had always used the comparator line. I'll have to remember that next time I need one. I realize lag for the display is irrelevant. But, if you'd like to smooth it out/speed it up, have you considered slime block piston towers? I've found those to be a fast and reliable method for vertical signal transmission. Plus, depending on how you set them up, either the rising or falling edge of the signal is instant.

19:55 You've basically made a J-K Flip Flop, then, with Q and !Q being passed back to J and K

a whole bunch of SEEMINGLY simple concepts together into a single mind blowing machine.. I'm in absolute awe. There is admittedly one thing I don't understand, though... Why is this dictated to "within 3?" Each active variable has a single addiction (edit: or addition 😅), making for a limit of 6 active voices at any one time, but the machine has a max command of 7? I've clearly missed something
@jazziiRed7 ай бұрын
That's just because those were the constraints of the original piece by Terry Riley. But you can still get a maximum of 7 voicings, since "within 3" means "within 3 moves from each other," for a maximum spread over 4 parts.
@BaddHabytzz7 ай бұрын
@@jazziiRed I had imagined the spread was 4... well after I'd written that, of course. 🤦♂️ I'm sure you had already explained this in your videos; I was just so hooked on the methods to achieve the goal, I paid little heed to the goal itself. Thank you for taking the time to once again clarify this to my absent minded self. 🙃

adding a question to my comment: sorry can't you use piston with slime/honey and a redstone block instead of a redstone torch column? I'm a redstone self-taught amateur and I'm no's so good yet so I wondere if a piston bolt signal would be mabye harder bu surely faster so that the 7th (or the 8th, 9th... the 130th who knows) player would have less time lag? thank you anyway and il keep on whatching your videos until I catch up

I don't remember the details, but Tango at some point, during the building of his dungeon used an "instant redstone signal" with no lag, to sync multiple jukeboxes. Maybe worth looking into it if you want to have zero latency regardless of distance.

Hey, new to the channel. Just watched some of your noteblock creations, love them. Do you have a download link for the map or some more extensive videos on just playing this and your midi instrument? Woud love to hear the 5 other segments and 3 more instruments :)

A clear explanation of a cool creation, nice! I'm a little unclear on the benefit of moving individual players, wouldn't a switchboard with binary lines accomplish the same thing?
@jazziiRed7 ай бұрын
Not sure what you mean by that, sorry... But the machine is meant to be played by 7 individual players on a server, each with their own set of controls.

awesome
@randospawn74957 ай бұрын
You could reduce lag by using 2 Tflip-flops and the stone wall array with observers (I hate that they update both ways sometimes). Edit: just realized you already kind of used this out the front of the finished one

BRO IS THE SONG AT THE END “In C” by Terry Riley??? IM PLAYING THAT IN ORCHESTRA RIGHT NOW
@jazziiRed7 ай бұрын
Yes it is! I also have a video where I performed that piece live using this machine :)
@Ekipsogel7 ай бұрын
4:49 I think that happened because the redstone block turned into a moving block entity, updating the piston, then when it turned back into a block, it didn’t update the piston.

Why didn't you use vertical instant redstone of some kind instead of torch towers?
