Overflow protection is cool and all, but for instance, when you sort expensive items, what are the chances that you'll overflow with them? And if you run a risk of overflowing your system with diamonds, you could sacrifice an additional 40 pieces. It's cool that you mentioned that issue, though. Now we can make an informed decision about when to implement costly overflow protection, and when isn't worth it.

Have you seen the "minecraft approved" 3'3 piston door? The trial chambers door is a 1 block layer set up and it's no more complicated than the 2 layer we've been using.

Redstoner youtubers make completely random things just to see if they can, and/or make redstoning easier for the average viewer. In my opinion, you both are skilled at what you do in your own ways. You are better at some things than mattbatwings and the other way around. Do what you love, not what people tell you that you have to do.
