I'm glad you put it takes 1.5 hours for this. These people that want things but don't grasp paying for time blow my mind. I had a guy ask me for a wavy flag. I told him it would add a bit of cost to which he said "why is that, it's the same material " Luckily this isn't my living because I just stopped talking to him until he got the hint. Something about looking at someone and saying "okie dokie" and just walking away. Had a guy once tell me "psshhhh....I can build that ". I politely said "oh man you should! I have so much fun" to which he said "I don't have time to do that" and I just said "exactly what you pay me for" :)

Hint ....... use a circular saw, at various depths to highlight the lowest point of each valley to ensure you don't "blow thru" the boards while grinding.

It looks like you’re putting pressure on your sander? I might be wrong but from the way you held it with you wants pressing down doesn’t seem the right way for an orbital sander. You’re supposed to let it sand without any pressing pressure. I’ve learned years ago when I had to buy a couple of them first lol. Again I might be wrong but i thought I’d share in case you didn’t know. Great video!

I see some glue up issues. How do you fix them. I know those type of issues are impossible to stop them all during the initial glue up.

Hi Max. I love your flag videos. I think that I have watched most of them. Do you fill the gaps/spaces that appear between the stripes? If I filled them with wood filler, would the filler show in the completed flag? Thanks for all of your fun videos.
@MaxF012 жыл бұрын
Hey Pt Eddie! Thanks a lot i really appreciate it. I have done both but i think the filling definitely looks better, and when ive done it ive never seen the filler through, the stain has always hid it. No problem and thank you again for watching!

Max, do you think a sanding attachment for the grinder would also be usable? It, the grinder, has a higher RPM, and I was wondering if that would be a good idea.
@merrill072 ай бұрын
Please people, if you are going to make one of these, make the waves go in the right direction. Watch a flag unfurl and wave in the wind for a while. The waves go left to right. This flag, and many others, is backwards. Nice work, but needs to be flipped.
