How I made this ART Deco WOOD Bubble with PUNKY Cherry

I had every intention of making a hollow bowl with high closed in walls. But, as I was turning this piece I just couldn't bring myself to cut into the shiny exterior. So, it is a piece of trash art or deco. What's you vote?
