Hi Shannon, I’m a new follower, but I’ve watched quite a few of your videos. I just want to say how appreciative I am of your knowledge and willingness to share it so thoroughly. I’m not a reseller yet really… I’ve been selling personal items and professional (to my industry) intermittently for years, but am studying the idea of actively sourcing to resell. So thank you again! So much knowledge!!

Great information! I found in near mint condition Cutco flatware with the classic black handle for 12 at Goodwill for .19 cents each. Part of me wants to sell it but then I love it for myself.

Found your KZbin channel about two weeks ago. You have a calm and real presence that is appreciated. Since taking notes I've turned my attention to checking out office supplies, mugs, utensils, and flatware. In these two weeks I have found complete set of pink plastic riveted stainless steel flatware from Taiwan. Comps for a set of four are around $20-30--I have a set of 14 (plus salad forks which the comps didn't have). I'm missing a couple forks to complete the last set and am hoping to sell the extra spoons and replace the forks. I got the entire set for $10. I also got a set of Astro flatware from Japan for $10. Again a near complete set of 12 with extra spoons. This set is worth about 3x's the other. Don't get me started on the utensils--and mugs--and...I wouldn't have really paid attention to these. Thank you. Looking forward to many more videos!!

Thanks for the tips, I knew absolutely nothing about flatware, and this helped. I did not finish this video mostly because of a commercials in-between each of your "top 10" is a bit much. Personally, I would never subject my viewers on either of my KZbin channels to this many commercials in one video I get sharing that your experience is valuable, and you deserve compensation, but you won't get rich in one video.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll have to check settings. This video was made awhile back when I was new. I admit I haven’t delved deep into monetization settings and what control I have - I thought I understood that YT controlled a lot of the ad placement now.
@dennyps19 ай бұрын
@pishposhreselling No worries, when you post, you can't control the 1st ad that's recently changed, but through your video, you can focus and place ads. I'm not saying ads are bad they pay bills, but you still have some control. It's worth a bit of research. You can lose a lot of watch time by the frequency of ads in your posts. Good luck & God bless 🙌

Again thanks for the heads up. I spot checked some videos and this one BY FAR had the most. I’ve turned them off. I think YT just decided each “chapter” needed an ad. 🤷🏼♀️

Thanks. I did learn something interesting. The ad breaks in midrolls are just potential spots to place ads. YT says they don't guarantee ads will appear in all those spots for every viewer. Maybe you were just lucky. lol But I'm glad to know more and will try to lessen the potential spots...it looks like certain types of videos have more ad breaks than others.

Excellent video. Period even though this was a broad overview I learned a ton. I recently picked up a large utensil tray with various pieces, and after going through them saw that it was mainly one piece of each pattern so now I have 50 bags of one piece of silverware. I’ve been putting off researching because it is so many patterns but now I think I’m gonna go through them quickly and look on the back for certain brands. I’m very interested in this niche and really do want to expand my knowledge base. I don’t find it often at my thrift stores but at the same time I really haven’t been looking. Now I’m looking. I did just look at your playlist and I didn’t notice any more videos on diving into flatware. Can you possibly tell me the name or link additional videos specifically on flatware?thank you so much for all your knowledge. Sorry if this is a jumbled mess, I’m currently using voice to text.

This is another video I did about identifying: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6LLiqBqg8aqp9Usi=82hWGmmPSkL_PnIp I’ve found sets like that before. Even huge boxes where people made mismatched flatware sets for parties or weddings. I’ve even sold mismatched sets before along a theme. Mid century/ atomic etc. I’ve seen floral ones too.

Do you do any cleanup like polishing or washing in hot water and baking soda? Some listings show shiny pieces and mine are not like that. Thank you for the video as it was very helpful!
@pishposhreselling Жыл бұрын
For stainless I just wash or wipe down with windex if there are spots. If they’re shiny they probably got less use and I mention that. Otherwise I just say something along the lines of “signs of use typical for pre-owned flatware such as from stacking . Great for adding to your everyday set.”
@Nonasdaughter-Annette Жыл бұрын
@@pishposhreselling love how you worded that! I have very limited storage space so flatware works nice for me. It is getting harder for me to find. I really like your videos and have also added you on Instagram. Thanks again!

Excellent info! ❤ I sold a beautiful silver plate dessert tray but it was returned because of pitting. I thought it was tarnish. My account got dinged for defective item 😢how to know the difference between tarnish and pitting?
@pishposhresellingАй бұрын
You can generally feel pitting. It’s plate loss but a bit deeper. Plus tarnish should polish out

How do you list the flat ware offering multiple pieces in the same listing? Thank you for video

I may do a video on that. It’s called a Variation Listing. You can add multiple items to one listing and the buyer chooses from a drop down menu.

Hello, I have some Oneida silverware, and on the back, it says "SCIENTIFIC STAINLESS by Oneida Ltd", including some spoons, knives, and forks, 22 pieces in all. Plus there is 1 salad server (scissor spoon/spork) that says "EPNS Made in England". What is the best place to sell them, and should I sell them together or separately? I tried searching online and I saw all different prices. Thanks for any advice!
@pishposhreselling9 ай бұрын
Wow that’s a first for me. I’m not seeing a lot in Solds so I’d probably lot the flatware up in one listing. eBay for sure but cross post if you do that. The salad server I would do separately. EPNS is electro plated nickel silver 😊
@easylearningweb9 ай бұрын
@@pishposhreselling I appreciate your reply. Sorry, what do you mean by "...a lot in Solds" How much approximately should I sell the flatware for, maybe $25.00 for the set? There are 10 matching spoons, 6 knives, and 5 forks including a mini fork. And the salad server, maybe $5? I have no idea. If I could, I would attach pictures, but don't see a way to share photos.
@easylearningweb9 ай бұрын
@@pishposhreselling Also, I forgot to mention that there are 2 purplish blue cloth silverware holders (with a pocket), like the texture of anti-tarnish or polishing clothes? There are also two tubes of MAAS metal polishing cream. These were from an older relative. I guess I will try to sell the items on eBay? We are doing a flea market in a month, so maybe there? I'm not sure about Facebook Marketplace. Again, appreciate all your advice!
@pishposhreselling9 ай бұрын
So when I searched “scientific stainless oneida” on eBay - there are some results. Many have a rose on them - I think the pattern is called “Our Rose” or something like that. You can then filter your search results to “sold” and that will show ones that have sold in the last 90 days. I only saw a couple. So demand may not be super high. A lot of flatware selling is waiting for the right buyer. I think $25 is probably good. I’d go higher on the salad server -$15 to $20 😊
