This is channel is great but there are many others that do the same and in much more detail/much longer videos. No Lamborghinis, no mansions, no Andrew Tate-type guys telling you how great he is. Unsubscribe from the guru’s. Tap the not interested when they’re recommended to you. Then seek out entrepreneurs like this channel. My First Million is a great channel and they need to interview this company and founder in one of their regular hour long videos.

This is absolutely crazy. I work as a sales engineer for a huge HVAC company. I didn’t know that filters could be this profitable.
@nightingale16929 күн бұрын
Yeah but practically doing it is never that easy and you need buckeroos
@danielmin37269 күн бұрын
It’s mainly a bunch of paper and some plastic and glue. Once you get through the machine hurdle, with enough volume like most things, it is profitable. Because there is not a lot of overhead. But I imagine you need a big chunk of money for the machines and like the owner said. You need to have enough money saved up to get you through the hard times. Find something that you see a lot of people need and offer a solution.

The USA are a unique market. Everything which is generic and mass produced is a low margin business in the rest of the world. In the USA for some reason the market accepts higher prices. Maybe because there is not much local competition.

I have been a Filterbuy user and subscriber for five years. I wanted something made locally, so I tried them when I moved to a home with three A/Cs. They have been great! Consistent delivery, quality filter, and fantastic customer service. I had a question about the fit during the first year, and they recommended another size, and it was perfect. I like the color changes; just don't change the prices. :) It is smart to utilize KZbin in your marketing strategy. I liked the video, I had know idea how challenging the business was. Keep up the good work.

The two year runway statement is laughingly accurate. People underestimate how long it realisticly takes to actually break even or reasonably be profitable. For me it took about 3 years to start taking a salary, and by then I almost felt bad about it. This vidro was a breath of fresh air.

I think the idea is that since it’s mostly air by volume. shipping them from overseas would lose a large percentage of the profits. If he can manufacture them locally then he could out compete price wise with the companies that import them.

anyone reading this comment and wishing to start a new business venture.... when David mentioned "two years of runway to not take any money to build your business" this sounds daunting and really puts a lot of people off their path to entrepreneurship.. This comment and thought david has was based on his business.. a very old school style busness where he manufactures and ships a product. A boring product that no one talks about. The good news is that what he said is false and I know many successful people who were already profitable after a couple months. Who managed to take an idea and turn it into a very lucrative business in a few months and continue to scale it up over 3-5 years. Often completely changing their lives in the process. Its not guru;s. its not youtube.. its real products that create a sense of meaning in peoples lives and those people buy and promote your products for free. So to summarize.. if you have a passion and a meaningful business, dont be afraid to begin just because you watched this video.
