You know how sometimes when you see something very beautiful and exceptional you get a flutter in your chest…creating that bouquet from the October remains of your garden, just exceptional. And you have super-strong arms.

I love and use the leftover curly branches of my yucca plants for fall and winter potted displays, and of course, my grasses ‘ plumes, sedum, magnolia stems, dried hydrangea flowers ( I spray paint them), red maple branches, still blooming butterfly branches that I trim off in the winter

Thank you for the idea.Here in Northern California I have zinnias, mint, tithonia, sedum, Salvia Indigo spires, various roses, cosmos, gomphrena, yarrow,meyer lemon, buckwheat, a horrible invasive plant that I am trying to develop a relationship with called buddah plant,quince, a grass which cant remember the name of, but it might be called explosion grass or fiberoptic grass, very fun, oregano, and that dandelion will make a showing.

Absolutely beautiful bouquet. I’ve been away for a week and I’m amazed at what’s still looking beautiful in the garden so I’m going to try this today. Also, is it crazy to say I love the noise your snips make when cutting the stems. So sharp. 😂😂

Hope you had fun trying and snips DO make a great noise!

Really enjoy ending the week with you. The way you handle the wrapping shows great confidence and skill. I'm starting to view non blossoming plants differently. I would love to find a spot for a crab apple. I wonder if they would be happy here on Cape Cod.

Beautiful Georgie❣️ I still have Iceberg roses (which really are my favourite) in front framing my steps up to the front door. They’ve been there eighteen years and are still going strong…..even though the deer have already had their fill this Fall. Utah, USA

Love this video, love your #30stemchallenge! Question: I have bought several reels of raffia, but it always breaks when at all damp, while I'm tieing it :(. Am I buying the "wrong" raffia? Any suggestions, thank you
@theflowerfarmer2 жыл бұрын
that's very odd - to be fair my raffia hangs from the ceiling and is always dry when I use it but I don't think your raffia should break - can you keep it dry for tying?

Beautiful - what are your thoughts on stem length? In the US standard is 18".
@theflowerfarmer2 жыл бұрын
uk standard 65 cm but if dealing with florists it's worth discussing so florist gets more and one sells more x
