Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Using hue adjustment layer to check value is a good idea but it does cause a shift in values too. A better way is to set up custom proof setup (under View menu) - set up as Working Grey profile. Then shortcut Ctrl Y to quickly check value without shift in value relationships.

Tips: On Windows 10, you can enable Grayscale screen mode in Settings > Ease of Access > Color Filters, and then toogle it with the shorcut keys Win + Ctrl + C. Mac and Ipad Os have their equivalent options but the shortcuts are a little bit trickier. Mac has the shortcut to bring out the menu then you have to enable/disable it manually. Shame! On Ipad you can use Power button, Home button or Assistive Touch (tap/double tap/hold) as shortcut. I'm not sure about older versions of Windows though. Just google for more info 'cause I'm too lazy lol. Happy painting!

Color blindness is over ture more like color weakness，not very sensitive to some colors ，lucky painting is not base on color

Thanks for the video! I have a question: say you're painting from a reference, and you have a complicated part with a lot of colours and values that you want to simplify (for example some leaves or a patch of grass). How would you go about simplifying it?
