Be careful … that thing is BLINKING!😮…😂 Just purchased the new iPad, so having the “fun” task of setting it up … always a celebratory experience 😊. Not … Still, came across this video and put it directly into my “Dave Simpson - guitarinaire” [a not so obvious mashup of guitarist extraordinaire - or future guitarist Millionaire 🤷♂️) folder. Cheers/ Slainte and God bless, my friend. (Still in my thoughts and prayers … keep letting the Spirit move through you. I like to separate my backing/loops with the use of an ABY switch and 2 amps or PA mixer. I run my pedalboard in front of the ABY switch. I have the Looper/backing track devices out of either A or B outputs running to one of the amps then switch to the opposite channel/amp for melody this way you have better fidelity instead of having all of it going into one amp with competing frequencies, etc.

If you don't mind me saying, I would like to add for anyone looking for a looper, that I use the Mooer GrooveLoop pedal. It has 3 modes 1-looper 2-choice of drumtracks from rock to jazz etc that you can play alongside and 3- is the option to create a guitar and a drum loop which you can then play to. It is inexpensive, or was, and it works great. The Mooer GrooveLoop

Simple is smart, but you’re no stupid. I bet you’d find some really interesting melodic pathways if you did something a tiny bit more with your rhythm tracks. I’m think dinosaur jr. as an example. So much of his solos unique sound are because of his well laid backing tracks. great video!

Quick question: I know you go straight into the amp. I do that too, but everytime I use the looper mode of my line 6 DL4 and play to it, the loop gets really quiet and gets washed away buy the things I play over it. Could anyone help me? :)
@thedavesimpson3 жыл бұрын
I have a video about that I did years ago when i used my dl4 but basically i just turn down my pedals accordingly. :)
@intensedad28273 жыл бұрын
@@thedavesimpson thanks for the answer! :) do you run into this problem with your boss looper or with the ditto looper? :)
@JorgeLetria3 жыл бұрын
@@intensedad2827 idk about the ditto, but the boss rc3 has a concentric pot you can use to balance loop level with input and its stereo, so if you don't want everything running from one amp you can connect each channel to a different amp, and your guitar through an aby -> rc3. Record your loop to the one channel and switch to the other channel to play through the second amp.
@scottrattray54543 жыл бұрын
forgive my ignorance but if this is all going through the front of the amp why doesn't the tone change when you switch on a pedal? or does it send two signals to the amp?
@gaysquirrels69152 жыл бұрын
The tone doesn't change because he'll put his looper at the end of the chain, at that point once the sound is captured the loop will carry on even if you unplug all the pedals/ the guitar that made the loop in the first place.

No big fat _looper_ pedal with 1..2 dozens of knobs for different chord sections and what not? Because that's nothing you need, or because of the (from that I gather so far) exponentially increasing price per added button on a looper pedal? I played around with a relatively simple NUX looper pedal. It's fun for a while, but it feels like one should be able to do so much more with them... Have you ever thought, when fiddling with a looper: "Now, If I could do this or that, that would be cool. But the thing can't do it"? If so, do tell me. I am toying with the notion of DIYing a looper based on that huge Behringer aluminum MIDI floor pedal with lotsa knobs and 2 expression pedals. What I need is some extra motivation, and input from a "real guitar player (TM)" for things that would be cool for such a machine to be able to do. (I cannot make products, but I can make open source projects with easily available parts, as far as that goes currently; and/or kits)
