Seeing a few negative comments here: 1. Not everyone has the same health concerns. If her recipe isn’t up to your dietary needs, just don’t make it. No one is forcing you to make it. 2. Substitutions are usually welcomed because there may be an ingredient that you wouldn’t eat because of either health restrictions or personal taste. 3. If because of dietary restrictions you can’t eat a certain item and you found a better substitution, please let us know. Maybe someone else has the same problem and will welcome the change . Sorry to rant but I just find it rude if someone takes the time and trouble to put out a video making a dish that they either created themselves or a family recipe and receive a negative comments.

Not that I agree with it, but your wasting your time with this statement. Negative comments are a part of social media. Nothing you say or do will change that.
@Turkeyinthehay5 жыл бұрын
How is pointing out that one has dietary concerns rude? How wonderful for those that don't, but just as those folks can eat whatever they want, others have restrictions. I just watched this and thought it looked yummy but the sodium is way too much for someone with high blood pressure (which I have). Possibly, if I wish to make that comment, it may enlighten someone that doesn't realise how much sodium is in this recipe. I feel that your comment shuts down SOCIAL media. I guess in your mind, forums such as KZbin where the poster ALLOWS comments are somehow all meant to praise the post and nothing more. Fine. I won't make this. If someone does, I hope they enjoy it. If they enjoy it, I hope they know how much sodium is in it.

I love the recipe, looks fantastic and I eat low salt. what i would do is simply modify for me. I would buy some corn tortilla flats for soft taco that do not have the salt on them. bake them a bit until a bit crunchy and enjoy the recipe. You don't have to use doritos. you can use flour wraps or corn wraps and get the same result minus all of the seasoning. GREAT RECIPE!!

Putting grease down the drain is harmful to our environment and little fishies lol just a constructive criticism, put a coffee can under your strainer to contain the grease, your local waste water company will give you a free canister to contain Grease. The finished product does look good. Though, I do have a question...instead of putting the cheese on top of the casserole before you put the whole thing in the oven to bake for the long stretch of time, why don't you bake it w/o the cheese for the long stretch & then when you take the foil off, add cheese & bake it for the last 20 minutes? That way you don't have to worry about the cheese on top drying out & burning...

Ok this sounds amazing, it reminds me of the " Taco Salad using Doritos " that my best friend's mom would make for dinner sometimes. Growing up in a house where my grandma was a Natural Healer aka 🌿Herb Dr. where things like chips, soda, candy, ice cream, white bread 🍞or anything with processed sugar were frowned upon. I was like 9 the 1st time I had 🍞... Until then didn't know it existed. I thought all bread had nuts, and berry in it... (N rocks, n twigs, and tree bark.... Not really those ingredients, but you know what I mean LoL LoL 😆😆. Anyway... SORRY, I had a flat tire going down Memory Lane... Got stuck a little bit. My question.... Why do you have to cook it so long?? 50 mins @ 350 seems like a long time to essentially hear something throughout and to melt cheese. I mean everything is already cooked thoroughly (hamburger meat) and there isn't anything with like raw egg added that has to be cooked... So I was just wondering. Thank you very much for the recipe and for helping me find my way back to a time where I can watch that WONDERFUL lady do her thing!! And at the same time... Sorry I spilled memory all over my comments. LoL have a wonderful day, sending ALOHA from the Island of Oahu

I was shocked seeing you drain the beef into your sink, mother told me after she was married to my dad she did that and stopped up the drain. My father she said became very angry because he had to take the drain pipes apart to unstop it, and she never did that again. Seeing you do that just made me remember mother telling me about that happening before I was conceived. Back to the story at hand, your Casserole looked wonderful and I will be trying it for sure. Thank you!

I make something like this but I added chili beans and use the regular Doritos and it's really good. Top it off with some salsa and sour cream. Love it. Thanx for your video.

I just can’t believe that I’m still getting comments telling me not to pour grease down the sink 🤦🏻♀️ it’s literally been 3 almost 4 years and even told everyone that I don’t do that anymore.

I was just lmao about that! That's hilarious! (I drain my grease down the sink and run a shitload of hot water behind it... so I guess I'm a bad one, lol)

Why would you throw grease down the drain?

Okay!!
@dianeferre12735 жыл бұрын
Because it can be done while cold water is running! *I personally do not cook with "re-used" grease. Only Fresh imported Olive Oil & Butter...
@malindamooradian56645 жыл бұрын
Diane Ferre' cold water will make it set up. If anything you run hot water. Stupid idea. Clog your drains with grease and you’ve got an expensive repair!
@jessepremo73985 жыл бұрын
@@dianeferre1273 You're an idiot if you think pouring grease down the drain will not cook it up somewhere down the line.

Looks yummy! All ingredients are fully cooked before layering your dish. Curious as to why you would need to bake for an additional 50min?
@boxiebabe3337 жыл бұрын
So that the sauce softens up the "tortilla" portion and you can make a nice cheese crust on top. This also gives it a chance for all the flavors to meld together. That's my guess anyway.

I think 30 min is enough.....or just go to taco Bell...and eat for 3.00...my kids used to call it taco hell....
