I heard some other musicians playing in the same venue as you and your backtracks are audibly superior in that they give that big concert sound that filled with a warmth and richness.

Great content, Sheron. What's your preferred audio file format when importing the tracks to ST3? Thanks.

Thanks for the vid. I also like making my own backing tracks because it helps in really KNOWING the track. (I'm a keyboardist.) If I use a pre-made or karaoke track I am less comfortable with it in the performance. Making my own helps to solidify the structure of the song in my head.

thank you for your comment, yes thats great, do you have a vid with one of your tracks? :)

Hi. Excellent video. I am hoping to make some backing tracks myself. Do you always use the same drum kit on all your songs for consistency in the tracks. I have heard a few backing tracks that are available to buy but they are so inconsistent with different drum kit sounds and levels etc. Like you I also have a helix and am hoping that if I can get a consistent sound then hopefully my guitar sound will fit in better. Your show reel vids are awesome.

Hi Dave, thank you for the kind words:) Yes I always use the same kit, although through the years as technology changes so does the drums I use. I intend to go back and redo all my tracks’ drums (hell of a job) one day 😎. My theory behind making tracks is the emulate a band playing along with me, in the early days I only played live with a band (look at my channel there are quite a few live band vids). I’m glad and grateful you liked my showreel. I was hoping to make a nice and professional vid to showcase what I sound and look like live. Good luck with making tracks, would love to see a link to your shows if you have 🤟 Helix is the best 🤗,

@@dave6180 any vid would do good, I’d love to see. There’s no such thing as level, standard, we all at our own level musically, there’s no such thing as better, it’s what you put in that you’ll get out, I may have put more hours into music than you, but less than Steve vai 🤪

1 second ago Thanks for the reply. I don’t have any solo shows to share at the moment. I am nowhere near your standard of performing but I would love to see you do a video on your helix settings in the future.

I only have a very short band gig clip. We couldn't find a singer so I ended up doing it ha.

Thanks for sharing Sheron. Do you use drums samples that are already in logic?
@sheronmusician3 жыл бұрын
I have a few options available but the drummer/drums sampler in logic are great and definitely good enough

@@andreferreira-lq2yd I’m of the opinion that logic doesn’t need any third party add ons. I do have some because well, I like to buy software that works for me but on a budget, logic is all you need. 😊

How did you get that drum sound with your keyboard ? I do the other parts similarly to you, but I'm not great at drums.
@sheronmusician6 ай бұрын
The sound isn't from the keyboard, it's from a sample library on the Mac :)

It is obvious you have a great passion for your work I was doing backing tracks with midi 30 years ago I worked as a live keyboard player singer for Thomsons gold hotels 15 years they were always taking the piss about the size of your repertoire it’s a dog with different fleas the quality is always better than the quantity stop the agents bullshiting and pinching the coin then you can put more acts on
