I really liked the robe part of your tutorial, I appreciate that you actually showed shapes and sizes of the pieces of greenstuff.

Great video, I normally see people gloss over making robes in videos rather than explain the process, giving good information and measurements makes the idea a lot less daunting

Straight to the point and precise information with measurements too, thanks a lot. What do you recommend to clean the grease of the vaseline off the green stuff when it's cured ?
@MasterChaplainAddanc9 ай бұрын
Glad it helped, great question... I try not to have a excessive amount of vaseline on the go on the tools etc and it does seem to dry naturally before I go to prime it. however if I did need to clean off the grease I would wait for the green stuff to harden then carefully clean with a soft brush plus water. I've tried a couple of normal vaselines before this and this does apply thinner and less gloopy than others so just try to limit excessive amounts. I hope that helps 😊

Not bad man, not bad. I really like the way you used your mat for the measurements. I've done robes on Marines & Eldar before. They turn out pretty good. But I know your method will be alot more accurate & quicker. So thanks. Ed- Just checked out your site, 👍& 🔔

when I make robes and capes, I use workshop (automotive) paper towels that are wetted down with watered-down wood glue.
@MasterChaplainAddanc Жыл бұрын
I know the ones yeah that's also a very good idea especially if for going for torn edges I find, when I first started trying to made capes I used to use just normal thin paper I'd cut it to shape and cover it in super glue (not the best I know... the fumes lol).

Wow thats awesome 😱 thanks i will try it 👍 Do you know how to make Librarian/ Scriptor Chest Cable?!? I realy searching for these kinda calbe but there is nowhere to find a good one. I dont know how to make these with green stuff do you have a idea?!?
@MasterChaplainAddanc Жыл бұрын
thanks 😊 chest cable ... i think i know the one your on about, theres 2 on the new terminator librarian running up either side yes? well theres a couple of ways firstly theres www.greenstuffworld.com/en/roll-maker/69-roll-maker-tube-wire-machine.html this a roller tool for things like that, theres the slow way of making a U shape tool to press into the tube, i would how ever look into thin springs even slide a small cable inside then just add them like that, im always pulling apart scrap electronics cable is always accessible just worth a throught. 🙂

So I've seen three reasonably low skill options, the first is the Greenstuff world cable/tentacle texture roller plates (I would assume there are other brands or that you or someone you know can 3d print something similar. The second is guitar wire, or strings from similar instruments. The third would be white metal cables which look a lot like guitar wire but are easier to bend and position but more expensive.
