You're seriously making me consider the glow forge! Especially for making drink coasters. I've loved to wood burn and widdle and also disliked it of how tedious and time consuming it was, and messy lol. but this machine takes all that out of it! I've been on the fence about getting an iPad and procreate. I have a surface pro 7 and to do anything simple I have to do a lot of things to get a simple design. I love my surface pro, but in order to do simple things like this, I have to spend a lot on programs. Obviously procreate has stamps that makes this quick and easy.

About how long doe it take to etch and cut all those? I’d be mesmerized and watch the whole process…

These took 1hr and 20 some minutes. Time really all depends on the setting (SD graphic takes longer…draft graphic would probably be ok on these and drop the time a bit but wanted to show best quality possible without going overkill with the HD setting.) The complexity of the design, how many solid burn areas there are vs. just lines, etc will all determine the time as well.

You can definitely color them…I did a previous Glowforge tutorial on the channel when I did just that…with these smaller pins, I think they look fantastic on the maple hardwood and don’t really need it…but be sure to check out that video!
