Yes I did, but contracts are always a tricky subject to talk about because legal advice is always different in different countries. I do plan to make a video in the future though going over what to include- e.g invoice terms, right to terminate contract etc.

Glad the video was of help, appreciate the kind words 😊 Being completely honest I've never struggled to get clients to use it, they normally love it as it makes them feel more involved in the project, the majority of people i've worked with excited to get their branding done. But I would recommend making a quick video running them through the portal to show them that it's really easy and simple to use, Notion doesn't take a lot of time to get used to! I'd also explain to them that it is an important part in your design process, so if they want to work with you they have to do it, This may sound a little blunt or forward but just because they are the client they shouldn't be able to dictate everything, as a designer you need to set boundaries otherwise you'll work yourself into the ground! (and be super stressed)

Hey Abi, Absolutely love this! I wondered if you had a notion template for internal project management, so an area that clients don't see, but you can share with subcontractors or a team. And the ability to set up some you can choose a board to add depending on the project, (website, brand identity) and a check list for each of the projects. :)

What a thorough video - thank you! Question: after a project has concluded, do your clients retain access to their client portal? Or, does your offboarding include a reminder that they have 30 days after the project has wrapped up to save the data from the portal? If the client has access to all of the files (including drafts and approvals), they would unlikely need to access the portal. Thanks!

Glad it was helpful :) So the client retains access and after 12 months I send them an email, letting them know I am closing the portal (for storage reasons) to give them a chance to make sure they have all the files downloaded.

Hiiii, I saw this video and your question yesterday, and I was wondering the same question as well, but I cannot find the answer either. Then I start to try many different ways to find the answer. Finally I figured it out! yayyyy! First, you have to create a inline table, then create a "callout" box, and drag the previous inline table into the callout box and DONE!! Same as the gallery section. Hope I can help you! =)

How do you deal with clients who do not like their designs and would like a refund instead of resolving the issue. Or when you would like to cancel a client project altogether?

Being completely honest I've never been in this situation, and I think it's why the brand strategy stage of the client process is so important, if this stage is done well and correctly it should eliminate this risk of this happening because in this stage you get to understand what it is the client wants so you are both on the same wavelength. But if I was in the this situation transparency and honestly is the best policy, just be honest with the client and they should appreciate that.

Hey! so there's the master database, then within that their are client portals which I share to the client, that way they only get access to their project info and not the whole database (hope this helps!)

Sorry I read the question wrong! So I have a team and they all have access to the database as they are internal team members and not freelancers. So I've not had to deal with this issue, but I can't think of a notion feature that would allow what you're asking for. Sorry i couldn't be of more help!

No problem, glad to hear the video was helpful :) So no, you don't need to pay, but when you start using it with clients I would recommend upgrading to their £8 a month plan as it allows unlimited file size upload which is handy when delivering project files 😊

So if you have 10 clients you must have 10 different project tracker/todo list spread around ? Do you have a way to have this but being able to as a insider, have everything (tasks) in one database while still showing the clients the same taks page (from databases) you using ? I'm looking to do the same dashboard but I feel like the only way to do so is to create a Master Project Database, which clients only have a filtered viewed on but that comes with problems as its not displayed/editable for guests it seems

It is in one database, the cleint's only get access to their portal though so they can't see others (You only share that page with them, not the whole database)

Of course you only share their specific page, but I mean in one of the client's page (Cool Comfort here for ex.) the "Project Tracker" database is unique for the client right ? So if you want to yourself see ALL the project tasks of your, let's say, 10 clients, you need to open each "Clien portal" one by one ?
