Tyler's channel has always been about his experience in VietNam and his travels. He has been very open in sharing all aspects of his life. His channel is not getting a little weird because he is showing his relationship with Trang. If you have seen his previous vlogs you will note that Tyler has often taken time to interview friends that he has made abroad and he often interviews family when he is home and when they visit him abroad. What I think the main point people should concentrate on is how happy he is and how he and Trang are working to better themselves and better their relationship. What is so compelling about Tyler's channel is that he doesn't follow a how to format to bring in subscribers or views. He is himself, authentic and raw. That is a very hard thing for most people. I am continually in awe of my Son. Good job Tyler and Trang. I love you both.

This is a really good video, Tyler. I'm sure alot of your followers, myself included, have wondered how you guys met. It looks like you guys are back together - and I think it's great! She looks like a nice, intelligent, level headed and goal driven person - definitely family material. PLUS, her parents appear to be really nice and easy going. Good to see you back in the city. As always, wishing you continued happiness and well being.

My Vietnamese Wife speaks very little English. Short story, I met her in 2018 at a Cafe across the street from my Hotel in Vinh Long. She was alone at that cafe, and I just went over and introduced myself and sat down. We hit it off and, I have learned all my Vietnamese since then by communicating with her. That was a while ago, and now I have a pretty good handle on the language. I have a house in Vinh Long and there are are very , very few English speaking people there, so I have been immersed and forced to learn more...Work Great for me, I love Viet Nam....

I am also glad to know your gf is well educated and teaching English. Her English is much better than many, especially has not been outside of VN. One thing bother me quite a bit , “you know” is spoken very often by your gf. Tyler, you're lucky to find a Vietnamese woman in Vietnam who speaks good English. It's unreasonable to expect locals to speak your language. If you prefer Asian women who speak English, many live in the USA and other countries. To live in Vietnam or any foreign country, it's important to learn the local language to fully understand the culture and communicate effectively in relationships. The best comes last and I'm happy for you guys. Cheers!

the language barrier is not really a problem.. if the two people are on the same wavelength then there are ways around the so called 'language barrier'.. I met a girl there and we both liked each other but there was just no conversational chemistry... just on two complete different wavelengths and it just didn't work.... even though she spoke pretty good English... chemistry can overcome the language barrier.. I'd rather have chemistry with someone as one or both can learn the others language...

To have a better experience in VN you should find kids or people who could not go to school because their families could not afford or do not have the means to do so. That’s why you see a lot of kids in the streets selling lottery tickets. They would appreciate if they have 1 hour a day learning English free of charge. I think Trang and yourself could make a good team to reach that end. It will make people very happy.

If you are not engaged yet I just want you to remember that marry a Vietnamese woman it’s not only her but also the whole family because they are very attached to each other and not like in the States people seem to be very “selfish and/or independent”. However you don’t speak Vietnamese well enough to understand that when people say No it means Yes and when they say Yes it means Maybe in Vietnamese culture depending on the body language. So don’t be shocked when it happens to you.😅

That’s why I put it between quotes. What I meant was new couples tend to live by themselves and don’t rely too much on their parents. Yes... some good questions. regarding 22:00 -ish, The language difficulty creates an opportunity to try things differently, to do hard work to build a different way and make something more special... and it presents another barrier and degree of separation from operating closer like true life partners. How willing are people to put in hard work for long-term rewards these days? Is it at all realistic to hope for people to change or grow together? 26:00 “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.
