What an unusual story. I like how slow it was, that you didn't even really bother becoming friends when you were first roommates and then all of a sudden, you were more than friends without understanding it yourselves. This reminds me so much of my college experience. My two best friends and I hung out constantly. None of us dated girls and we never asked the others about dating so it was very comfortable. Finally I came out and then my two friends did the same soon after. The three of us were not romantically involved but we were such a huge support system for one another. So glad we all had one another at that time. Also my husband of 20 years was originally a roommate after college. After being roomies for several months, we took the chance to be more that roommates and that was 20 (almost 21) years ago. Funny thing was that before we were roomies we hung out together and I had asked him out. He turned me down. Evidently he just needed more time. : )

That is the sweetest thing and so different from any other stories. You were both in relationships with girls and started to have feelings for another.
