What I know is that a hospitality God has been nudging me, this way and that. I have had moments of active rebellion against those nudges. I am still looking for the question.

Yes, of all the Gods and Goddesses, the Dagda has been quietly nudging me. Not to necessarily serve him but to get to know him. I have a very troubled relationship with my father and the Dagda has let it be known that I will need his help sooner than latter. Not sure if any price for that though. I'm kinda flummoxed; I'd have thought it would be Brighid or another Goddess. Nope. I've been sitting w/this for awhile and then I came across your video. I certainly need to check your intro class out. Thankyou. I've a feeling I'll be hearing more from you.

Thank you for your videos Jon! The Dagda used this video to talk to me. I've been directed to work with the Dagda via his daughter Brighid with whom I've developed a relationship over the last 2 years. I've recently started including him in my spiritual team in terms of who I greet each day, welcome into my circles, and thank. He's asked me to spend time each week getting to know him. I was reminded of this commitment during this video. He had other messages for me through out the video, little aha moments like, oh that's why you did that or said that and this is why you're coming to me now. Healthy masculinity working with masculine deities to balance the different energies within me. He also made it very clear that I start with 1 hour each week, I've worked with The Morrigan before, with many different deities and they've learned how hard I push myself. I burned out a few years ago and I'm more careful and conscious with what I do with my energy and the deities that come to me are also very aware of that and work with me to make it manageable. Thank you Jon !

Thank you for sharing. I was pleasantly surprised how much I already knew about him. I’m not sure how I know so much but that is how many of my dealings with knowledge of deities it seems lol. I have studied only a little bit about Irish deities. I have learned to accept I just know things without studying.

Loved this. And The Dagda to me is a great support, a good friend. The person who shows up and says take it easy have a rest and a laugh but also when the burdens are too big. As well as do that thing together gardening, potter around the kitchen, taking care of community. Protect and nurture in all ways the Túath ( tribe, community)

From my interactions with you in Live@5, Jon, I feel like you well represent Himself and His nature. I’ve heard of Him before but without context, so I feel like I got a bit spoilt learning about An Dagda through you and your experience (especially as an American). GRMA!

Just finished your meeting the Mórrígan and so just HAD to see this as a good Part 2. Im wondering about your other first meetings of the TDD stories and also made me start to think about my own. You definitely are the first way ive heard of An Dagda and youre so right it is sad that maybe the macho hero-cults took a bit away from Himself in favour of some others like Lugh or Cú Chulainn tho especially. Ty ty ty again for sharing!

It’s wonderful to hear about the balance of The Dagda. I have felt his presence since I have been searching for a male Diety. what I need for my own self is a male and a female Diety that I have a relationship with and when I asked the universe for someone The Dagda’s name was one that came across my path. Since then I have just felt a warm presence a big warm smiling hug of a presence. And for some reason I have it fixed in my head/heart that it is him. 🤷♀️ I have signed up for your free Meet Dagda class and will see where that takes us.

It is sad I only recently got to know the Dagda through this school, because after just a year of knowing Him, I worry to think of my life not knowing. But I plan to make the most of the time I do have with Him, especially if I’m only to grow in strength and blessings through this relationship.

Thank you so much for sharing this. My 1st experience with The Dagda - and authentic Irish spirituality - was at a West Coast, US conference at which both you & Lora spoke. All of the workshops I attended were eye opening, and felt so 'right'. I've been working with The Dagda since and I love how he keeps appearing in my life.

i remember learning about the three strains of music fairly early on in my journey, completely out of context in a list of triads (as a musician, it was obviously the one that stuck with me the most). it wasn't until about a month ago that i learned they were connected to the Dagda and his harp. suddenly they resonated far more deeply! and now to also think about them in relation to emotion that way, especially a masculine embodiment of emotion... it's a lot to have running around in my head right now, so i apologize for not getting the words out the way i'd like. these are the kinds of things i've had a lot of trouble with as a nonbinary person and you've given me a lot to think about. thank you for this video and all the other ones you've made about the Dagda! it's been a wonderful way to get to know him a bit better and i love the way you talk about your journey with him.

This was a nice video about the Dagda, its interesting to learn how the gods reach out and learn more about his story! Before this all I knew about Dagda was the story of his magic cauldron and modern interpretations of him in various video games and tv shows. It was really cool to hear about his other traits too.

I enjoyed this so much. I am aware of AnDagdaMor being around and He gets what I drink to wake up in the morning first. He is waiting, I believe, for me to sort out some issues that came up around Imbolc due to me mislearning appropriate practices years ago. That got sorted fast under painful circumstances, but I am essentially in many ways rebuilding myself. I gratefully wait for a time that is appropriate to see if I am allowed to serve Him in some way, because my heart calls for it. Thank you for all that you do, Jon.

The more I learn about the Dagda, the more I feel drawn to him. I am very empathic myself, and can be overwhelmed by the emotions of others unless I set boundaries so I won't be drained. The idea of working with a God who would model healthy emotional balance is transformative. Also, being a male identified deity feels like a draw to me as my own father was, through no fault of his own, very emotionally unavailable. Is it a thing to connect with the Dagda as a father image?

Lot of questions and to say I apologize I'm just passionate about this subjects and I have felt very confused and torn on what I should do. They say you can't be christain and a witch so I feel lost as a witch and God and a belief system no structure or guidance or what happens to us magical people when we pass that hit me pretty hard in March of 2020 when my mother passed away. She was my bestest friend my foundation a strong independent woman 3 bought with cancer at 81 years old was just more than her body could take. And I miss her terribly and the anniversary of her passing is coming up soon. I'm also a empath😬😉😊🌻but I'm sure you've figured that out by now LoL. 💜

I know sometimes it's been saying like us from the states act as if we are owned and that Ireland isn't the way it was back then. Well I am sure it's not but Alot of there culture and way's are still important and deserve to be carried on through us all I feel know matter if we live here or in the UK or Ireland. They all live on through us all there blood and DNA still run through our brains and makes us who we are.

I've been wanting to get to know the Dagda and listening to your personal experience with him and the understanding you gleaned from the traditional stories is endearing me to him TO A Certain degree. What troubles me about the Dagda is that he cheated on the Morrigan with Boann AND tricked her husband in order to do it. I see that your T-shirt can explain that; on the other hand, he seems to have these qualities which are genuinely good and healing. I understand that people fall short sometimes and cheat without thereby becoming thoroughly and completely terrible, but to see that behavior in a God is troubling to me. I want a God to have better character than us weak humans. I relate the word "God" to the word "Good." Jon, can you help me with this quandary? I don't have the funds to take any courses at your school. If you have time, can you say anything enlightening about this?

And I was raised christain not Pagan but I have fallowed the Wiccan path for many years and now I'm growing more towards Traditional and want to practice the Old Ways.
