My natural 4a-c hair growth has been plateaued for years. I'm now halfway through a batch of this and my hair is finally making progress. I feel like it's helping with length retention. I have been pairing this with scalp massage and vinegar rinse when I wash my hair (removes the buildup this causes). Looking forward to see how far it can grow. TFS

I’m pinning this comment! I’m glad it’s working for you. I’m going to use this (along with the head massages) and see how far my hair can grow as well. I’ve never been longer than armpits length and I feel we can easily reach waist length with consistency💕

My hair goal is to get to the point that I can wear my natural hair without feeling so self conscious or embarrassed. I don’t necessarily need super long hair but I would like to have enough edges to wear a cute short style no weaves, wigs, etc. I want those things to be a choice and not a need.

Get some rosemary and put it in boiling hot water for 15 mins. Let it sit for about 24 hours, then put it in a spray bottle. Use it on your edges daily, massage it in for about 10 mins, then seal it in with your mixture. Rosemary grows back hair fast and is proven to be as effective as minoxidil in growth back hair. Just a small amount of the kixture will seal it in. You can use it all over your head as well, but I'm going with what you said as far as how many times you've using it weekly. You can also make some growth oil using auyervedic ingredients and it will double your growth! I use auyervedic ingredients for my hair and in its curly state, it's mid-back. Straight it's waist length. It was at my shoulders in 2020 when I started my hair journey. I found all the recipes that I 1st started using right here on YT. I'd start with amla, fenugreek and moringa if I were you. They give you amazing results fast. Do some research, but auyervedic DIYs got me past my growth plateau and now my hair's healthy and long. My profile picture is my hair. Headband wigs has everyone thinking that any Black woman who wears a headband has a wig on. I just recently pulled my headband off and shook my hair out, then used the headband to put my hair in a high bun because I heard a lady talking big shyt in line behind me at Target to the other woman she was with, because I was buying hair products. She assumed that I was "bald under that lil curly wig" so I showed her that yes, brown skin girls can have curly hair too, and just because I have a headband on, doesn't mean my hair is a wig! I'm 42 and postmenopausal. I have hot flashes all the time and I live in Texas! The headbands just catch the sweat, because I sweat in my head horribly in the summer. But the hair doesn't come off with the headbands! 🤣🤣🤣 And auyervedic ingredients is why people think my hair is a wig or weave. It's thick, shiny and I am proud of the progress that I've made by caring for it. I had naturally thin edges until I started using the rosemary water. It thickened them up in about 2 months with consistent use. I put a little preservative into it because I don't want to make it weekly. I make a huge batch, preserve it and store it in the fridge. It lasts about 6 months with no mold whatsoever. You can find everything you need on Amazon or in an Indian market (except for the preservative. That's only on Amazon as far as I've found it). Hope that helps! You're hair looks beautiful. I'm sure auyervedic DIYs would help you meet your hair goals. The giveaway is closed and I'm not interested anyway, but my hair goals are to maintain my length as it is and maintain healthy hair overall. I can't handle hair any longer and I'm considering cutting it about 3-4 inches because its time consuming to wash and style. I'm disabled and it also hurts my back. I've had 5 back surgeries, and I can't stand long person to be able to wash it. I have a shower chair, but to rinse the herbs from my hair takes time and raising my arms above/to my head for long periods of time hurts like hell. I have to take 2 days to do it. Wash and deep condition the 1st, and style the next. I also put on a homemade fenugreek and aloe vera prepoo the night before I wash my hair to make detangling easy and take less time in the shower. So really it's 3 days that I'm messing with my hair in a major way every 10-14 days. But it's paid off for sure!

Hold on let me grab my notebook ✍️🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️ You can have my KZbin channel if you want it lol 1. YES TO THE ROSEMARY!!!! I literally did everything you said to the T! I made it last night but you confirmed I made it right. NO VIDEO is clear as to whether I should boil it or not so I did as you said and I boiled water then put rosemary and clove in it and let it sit over night. (I filmed it so that video is coming) my plan is to use it everyday for 2 weeks. LCO, The rosemary water will be my L, I have a cream moisturizer for C and I’ll use my oil mix for O. Im sure this will elevate my hair routine to no regard! I feel like I’ve heard of auyervedic but I’ll definitely do more research on it. I used amla oil it was okay but I wouldn’t use it everyday because the smell is strong but I like it as a prepoo. NOT YOU TAKING YOUR HEADBAND OFF AT TARGET 😂😂😂 I’m claiming this energy once my edges grow back lol I’ll see about the preservatives. I didn’t mind making the rosemary water fresh. I just had the water boiling while I washed some dishes then through the fresh rosemary + cloves in and went to bed. I’m saying that now but watch when I’m at my 10th batch I’ll get lazy While you have an extensive hair routine. I’m definitely checking out the auyervedic treatments you speak of. Can I ask you what is it? How do you use it? How often? To be honest I just want to add it to my mix and move on, I’m lazy but I want to know more about it, I’ll look it up on KZbin though You are AMAZING. You helped me and many others. Trust I’ll be using your advice, I screenshot this comment and I see you posted another that I’m on my way to 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️

@@tamithecreator I've been told to start a YT channel several times, but I don't want to edit videos. I have no clue how to do it. I don't want to record them either, because it adds so much more to the process of making your DIYs and the way my body works...that's not really an option. So I make extra of the stuff I make for myself and help others that way. Amla oil is ok, but I find using it as a prepoo or deep conditioner works better for me. I use amla, fenugreek and morning as the herbs, then my hair growth oil and olive oil, caster oil and shea or mango butter, and either distilled water or aloe vera juice as a deep conditioner. I have low porosity hair, so I steam my hair while deep conditioning. It makes a world of difference in hydration for me. I've been able to go from wash to wash without remoisturizing because my hair's hydrated before I ever apply anything to it. And I absolutely took my headband off in Target!!! I don't like people who talk about others, especially strangers, for no reason AND they have no clue what they're talking about. I had to show them that not every Black woman wears wigs and is bald under them. They STFU real quick though!!!🤣🤣🤣 Rosemary water is the easiest thing I make. It's simmering while I do everything else and after about 10 mins it's done. The hardest part is washing off the rosemary before putting it in the pot, and that's truly easy, too. I make most of the things I use on my hair. Everyone doesn't have the ability to do that because of the time it takes and the amount of effort it is. Sometimes it's 20 steps for just a lil gel! But it's worth it in the long run to me. Contact me and we'll continue the conversation. You have it, so I removed it lol. I'm glad to have helped you! ♥️♥️♥️

Have you mixed your growth mixtures with essential oils like lavender, rosemary, cedar wood to name a few? Research essential oils for hair growth to get a list. With essential oil you must mix with a carrier oil like jojoba or black castor oil because essential oils are potent. Hope this helps. I’m experimenting with lavender and rosemary and rose hip oil by itself. I feel like I’m getting some fuzz but it’s slow growing.

Edges do take awhile to grow back though. 😅 I just started seeing fuzz a year or so after I stopped bleaching my hair. I can tell you this, I feel more confident when I look at my fuzzy edges. I thought I was already content with myself but the fuzz is a boost. 😅 I used to moisturize my edges with a concoction I made , massage it then wrap a strip of plastic around it to sit overnight. After two months, my edges were nearly full grown. The only thing is I bleached my hair in order to dye it red and those edges fell out in weeks. I didn't even stop bleaching and dying until a few years later. When I realized how things and damaged my hair had gotten, I decided to leave it alone. I kept protective styles in and did my best to get my dry and damaged hair moisturized. My hair was long past my shoulders but super dry and damaged. After every protective style, I cut off about two inches of red dye. However, my new growth came back thicker and softer. I even changed my braid pattern for the vape and edges area. I would braid across the nape and sideways for the edges, but I always left the edges out. Now I'm going to start including protein and masque treatments on top of deep conditioning and hot oil treatments. Ome thing I need to do is stop wearing crochet braids. I feel like one protective style, once every 3 months is suffice. I feel like I don't let my hair breathe enough. Even two natural braids on the side will be ok, since I'm on a hair growth journey. Also, I think I'm going to try the plastic wrap thing again, since I had come to the conclusion that that area lacked moisture, I wanted to lock it in with plastic. 😅I don't think it'll hurt to try again since around that time was the time my edges came back in the fastest. I can relate to your journey. Good luck to you and congratulations for coming this far 🎉

Also, you should use a conglomeration of carrier oils and essential oil to simulate the growth of your edges. Massaging your edges to stimulate blooms flow will also help.

Good Evening. I have really enjoyed watching your video update. I have been natural about 4 months. I seem to have at least three hair textures. Top is thick but soft; crown thicker and always requires more moisture, back is a more fine curly texture. My sides are very thin since I was about 11 (I'm almost 56). I had a recent break in the crown area. I wasn't brave enough for a bald. I continued to condition & moisturized. Saw slow growth. Went to the barber and let him blend the area and wear a natural mohawk. Been using the mixture at night for about a week, massaging the scalp, cover with bonnet. The hair is not as dry. I will see where I am in about 3 more weeks. Thank you for the inspiration. I also take hair, skin, and nail vitamins. Goal is to see how my hair grows.

I am going to try this. I suffer from menopausal alopecia. I lost my edges, plus I have a couple of bald spots towards the front and thinning on the top. I've been bald for the past 3 years. My hair goal is to regrow my hair if possible and go natural. I really miss braiding and styling my hair at times.

Hello Tami. Absolutely loved your video! It was a joy watching you share your hair journey, the process and your results. Well, I am commenting on behalf of my mother who is also a wonderful grandmother btw 🥰. Yes my mother and I just watched your video but she didn't see the part of giveaway. So I am trying this out for her. Yes, my mama's hair goal is to grow her edges, have fuller & thicker hair and definitely to achieve shoulder length hair. That's it! Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful to help another human being. Loads of love to you from my family and I. Do take care.

PCOS has left my hair damaged 😢 right now my goal is to have healthy hair. Healthy hair grows so I'm not worried about length. Had to cut my hair off too and it was an emotional journey I was so attached to my hair.

I understand, I felt so down when I cut my hair. I was relieved to have let go of the damaged hair but still didn’t feel right as a woman. Listen, PCOS is nothing to play about, as you stated focus on your health and everything else, including hair growth, will come in due time. From my hair journey I’ve learned to keep it simple. Wash it, condition it, moisturize, use your oil of choice and leave it alone. I wish you health and success on your journey. 🙏

I don't know what to do ...I'm post menopausal, I have seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp, (scalp does not tolerate any oil), and I take medication AND I'm over 50...my hair just continually falls out...everybody says oh you have such beautiful hair! Not realizing it sheds terribly almost daily. I feel ungrateful because some people don't have hair at all but when you are use to having a full thick head of hair it's kind of devastating...

Your hair will grow beautifully, especially if you moisturize it regularly. I'm definitely going to finally get back to waist length this year. Life and school made me spend less time moisturizing my hair as often as I should. I will get back to youtube in 2023. The first video will be my trim before the next growth journey.👏
