I have always love the hair when you can’t see the scalp. I notices some thinning at the scalp and decided that I don’t want to ever retwist my hair. I’m starting today 25 April 2022. I hope I can reverse the thinning. Thank you so much for your videos.🦋💕

New to the family - I’m loving everything so far. I’ve been doing my own locs for 12 years (from the beginning).... I am really interesting in learning new and exciting skills to ensure my locs keep healthy and beautiful 💗

New subscriber here😊 I too have low porosity hair. I learned during the first 4 -5 months of my loc journey that applying oil with a squeeze bottle puts too much oil on my scalp which resulted in itching. I use so much less now and only apply it with my fingertips and palms.

I really enjoyed the information you provide. One point, you kept taking about 'ethnic' hair, I assume you meant African/Caribbean hair. Every single person (no the colour of their skin), belongs to an ethnic group. So ethnic hair is not an appropriate phrase.

Hi, I am 7 months locked and am struggling with moisture but am definitely trying your aloe vera juice. I am using grapeseed oil as a sealant but don't like the smell,. Do you have alternative sealant oil I can use instead of grapeseed oil?

I’d suggest adding a scented essential oil to the grapeseed oil…lavender, peppermint etc

Great video. Do you keep your mixture in the fridge?
@MissKobeli4 жыл бұрын
msmacthankQ yes I do! I don’t really have a reason why.... it’s just one of those things one ends up doing. To melt coconut I’d recommend putting your bottle on a plate over steam. If you hear it in the microwave or put it directly in hot water it’s going to melt the spray bottle as well! I learned the hard way

Coconut oil can be heavy on low porosity hair.
@MissKobeli3 жыл бұрын
The natural hair community is in dispute with the value and benefit they’ve marketed coconut oil to have on natural hair. My advice is to listen to your hair and give it the love it requires.

How often do you moisturize your hair??
@MissKobeli4 жыл бұрын
2 - 3 times a week, but I pay attention to my hair, so when it’s feeling dry I break my schedule! The key is once you’ve found the cadence that your hair is happy with, to be consistent and your hair will eventually give in to the routine

Wow! Your hair looks to be 4c with low porosity. Your hair issue is putting in the moisture. My hair issue is keeping it in. My hair before coloring has always accepted moisture quite easily but it also gets dry quickly.
