New subscriber here😊 I too have low porosity hair. I learned during the first 4 -5 months of my loc journey that applying oil with a squeeze bottle puts too much oil on my scalp which resulted in itching. I use so much less now and only apply it with my fingertips and palms.

HELLO😊 YOUR INFO IS CORRECT😊 LESS IS BEST, PEOPLE DO NOT GIVE THEIR LOCS TIME TO BUD OR GROW, DUE TO CONSTANT RETWISTING AND THE MORE THEY DO IT, THEY JUST MAKING HAIR WEAK AND WONDERING WHY HAIR BREAK OFF😮 GREAT INFO❤

Honestly, I feel that many stylists and locticians will tell you that there's something wrong with your locs in order to get you to agree to allow them to redo your locs and get paid for it. This may or may not be the case with you, but it does happen. I love how your locs are looking, so keep going sis. You really don't have to spend that type of money in order to rock locs. The reward will be great.❤

I appreciate your efforts, dear. You do not need so much product, especially at the roots. Product use leads to build-up, and build-up can lead to odor issues and skin irritation.

I waited anywhere between 6-8 months, but I'm a 7 year freeform hippy. I'm seriously debating never having them professionally done again. I relied on God only for the first 4 years, then went to a loctician who interlocked me and I really hate the look and have super tight roots. I'm done. Back to letting God do my hair ❤

Hey lover! I’m still on the crochet train! It works for me because I’m able to wash my hair when and if I want without worrying that my hair will get undone and I guess I’m big on instant gratification… the moment I leave the salon I know my hair is done for good. Also it’s easier to maintain uniform thickness of my locs… I must admit though that the last part is highly dependent on the loctician you have!

Interesting loc journey. Im curious also about the thickness remaining the same as the hair grows with instant locs. Can we get a loc update? Thinking about my new set I just started.

Re Relebohile. You know I have been binge watching you and subscribed. So lovely to see a beautiful sesotho lady with beautiful locs. I'm locked since 2018. But the journey jus started wrong..now my hairline bus gone ND my hair is just thinning. So I stopped retwisting ND started using aloe juice ND rose water. I have thin hair. What would u recommend for hair line and jus thickness..

Hello Beautiful...hearing you say your skin has been giving you the middle finger...I simply had to cut back on a lot of the unnecessary products and keep it natural and simple...not a lot of oily products that will be applied to the scalp/locs...then over time go into your skin...if possible please read the ingredients in the products...BUT I ALSO MUST SAY....I LOVVVVVEE YOUR STYLE TUTORIAL(S)....💯💯💯🤗🤗

Did you experinece budding or your locs thickening with the crochet method ? I'm scared of having thin locs
@MissKobeli
@MissKobeli Жыл бұрын
Hey hey! Yes I did, I still do! My theory is, because there isn’t a lot of tension involved with crochet your locs won’t thin out over time. With this said it’s all very dependent on your stylist, the twist method shouldn’t thin your locs either if there’s no tension involved

@@MissKobeli I actually started with interlocking because I didn't do my research I just went there and wanted something that would make me not chicken out but afterwards that's when I was worried about all the lumps and unevenness so I went to crochet them , I'm still waiting to see what will happen 😅 crossing fingers

This is a tip, once you know where you want your hair to be before putting it in a ponytail, bend your back down with your hair hanging low to catch it up. It makes it so much easier.
