A hat stand in the corner makes all the difference! You can hang just about anything on it, night gowns, dressing gowns, bags, hats etc. It only takes up a small amount of room and you can fit quite alot in that small place! xx

OMG thank you so much! I can't believe my vintage idol is doing my request! I have a very small space too, it's a struggle that competes with my need to collect accessories. I love the scarf and shoe storage. I've been trying to rearrange my closet to fit the shoes, I never thought to bring my favorites OUT of the closet! I've recently been buying a lot of hair flowers. The only thing I could figure to display them is from the children's section. They are long ribbons that hang on the wall to clip little hair bows to 😊

Thanks for a great suggestion! And I love the idea for hanging hair flowers - I might have to give that a try! Mine are currently taking up drawer space I need for other things!

If you want to maximize hanging space I recommend getting some space saving hangers and that might allow you to condense your hung items? I use them and they’re a life saver!

I line my bras up in a row, and put one behind the other in half my draw and my underwear is in the other half of the draw. If that makes sense! Also it is nice to see a KZbinr who is like the rest of us showing how you organise things! There are so many influencers who claim they aren't "rich" yet have a million pound house in London with loads of space and act like they aren't privileged 🤔🙄

Haha so true! Wealthy people always think they're hard off. Well, rest assured I have no space. That cupboard in my room is the only one other than the ones in a kitchen that is literally an armspan wide. We can't fit two people in there! And no one fits if the over is open 🤣 The bedroom cupboard stores our suitcases, our towels, and our bedding too! It's a challenge that even IKEA can't master!

What I have in my wardrobe for storage is a set of hanging fabric shelves, might work for you too. You can get them in Argos or Amazon or maybe even Ikea
@MissBeeTownsend4 жыл бұрын
They're fab! I had them in my Aussie apartment. Unfortunately, here, I'd have to remove all my clothing to add that in. Our suitcases, bedding, shoes, Val's clothes and our towels also have to fit in the cupboard, along with coats and other hangables. It's literally the only storage cupboard in the house! So anything we add has to go under the hangables.

Love your experimental 60s/70s phase! It looks great on you :) I'd love to a video on what foundations you use to create a vintage silhouette, and like a range of brands we could try for the vintage purist, but also for those who're doing vintage lite :p

Hi Bee! Surely a bigger/taller chest of drawers could be put in instead of your current one? unless it belongs to the flat! I have such a small room that I can only fit a single bed and I store all my show makeup in a tackle box at the bottom of my wardrobe so the top of my drawers doesn't look too messy. I love your bangle set-up!
@MissBeeTownsend4 жыл бұрын
We don't have a car. I found a bigger one second hand but delivery 1.2km was £50! The chest was £35 😒 Also the space is tiny. So bigger also means wider and it won't fit as the radiator is there. Such a stupidly designed space!

Some smaller, stacked plastic drawers could work nicely for your undergarments, workout clothes, etc. Then you can move them around plus stack them accordingly. And easy to get into!

Perhaps if I can find some to fit in the cupboard!

Great video--you are so organized and tidy! Some shelves to display your vintage handbags and clutches would be a nice addition if your landlord will allow it or if not, perhaps a smallish free standing bookshelf--that's how I display/organize my shoes ;) And was that a pet cat in your closet? I thought I saw a furry tail. It's so cute when people's pets show up in videos!

the only suggestion that comes into my mind, is totally contraproductive for somebody with gib collections of something, they actually use. so the other idea that comes into mind, is maybe a bit depressing (I hope not really ;-D). in case, somebody likes to have a lot of stuff like cloth and values that, then a little bit bigger flat would be best - so, with the prices in London, that would mean, to move to the country side or some other city.... (I even read in a novel, playing in the 1920s, how a couple, was talking about that option and the pros and cons - to save money. they had been working something to do with arts - made sense to me then - and now that comes into mind). another option I would consider - at least where I live - not sure, if that exist in London. you can rent storage space close to oyur naigbourhood. there are such companies, that offer to rent 1 squaremeter up to 20 squaremeter as extra space. you get a key and a 24h access and such. at least one could consider to put stuff there, that isn't used that much (don't know, tool kits and such or seasonal stuff). they don't cost that much. usually cheaper, than your flat would cost, if you would have that 1-2 m² extra in your actual flat. not sure, it that is an option in London
@MissBeeTownsend4 жыл бұрын
This is so sweet, thank you for the suggestions. Unfortunately I need options that don't cost money. I'm already struggling with London rent and moving further out isn't an option as we can't afford the cost of travel in to work and often there isn't trains because I work super late at events. Also, I really need to be based in London whilst I get myself established.
