Really liked the video Ashley 😀 but I have to say, the last few decades the "normal" amount of stuff per person just tripled, if not quadrupled. People just didn't use to have this much stuff that we now consider normal and obviously this has an impact, it impacts our shopping habits, our homes and, of course, the environment. The question is, do we really need all of this? Wouldn't we live better with less stuff? I've been thinking a lot about this. In regards to the closets, in Europe it's not normal to have walk-in closets, so we are all used to just have regular wardrobes and get the most organization possible out of them 😛 xx

Get stick up command hooks & hang necklaces on wall of cabinet. Container Store: acrylic dividers that stand up; clutches set in them upright like books & they also divide sweaters/shirts into sections. They have tons of great stackable velvet trays for jewelry of every kind. The place is great but dangerous. In fact, bring your pepper spray as you might need it to stop yourself😂

Love going through and organizing, so very into this vlog! Also, I cannot praise the Marie Kondo/Konmari method of folding clothes enough. It’s so helpful to be able to see all ur clothes when they’re stored vertically rather than stacked. Definitely check it out for for when you feel the urge to organize again!

Ashley I currently am in a basement suite of a house in queens and don’t even have a closet 😂 I am used to having lots of space growing up in the suburbs of la. Seeing your space I can only say that I am so jealous of the space you have!! I have far far smaller space than you, and it really makes me think about my purchases and in deciding what to keep in the non existent space I have now. Looking at the footage you shared of the overflow you have, have you thought of downsizing regularly (since this is your job and it is only natural you have to have more clothes and accessories than the average person)? I feel your struggle so much.

those one row of peg hooks for like $8 at walgreens are amazing for just hanging up clothes after you take them off. you can decide later what to do with the clothes, and it airs out stinky city pollution smells. i have them in kids room, bathroom, and bedroom. amazing!

As a furniture designer, i would say that the wooden legs on your table are cracking, because they are drying. Probably the wood was not dry enough when they were making the table. I would not worry about it.

I use shoe boxes fur curl up my belts and put them into. The best is converse box coz its long and narrow. The same comes to sunglasses :)

My pepper spray had a little case that could unbutton really quick if i needed it to but stayed closed for the most part. The only down side is that the clip that kept it on my purse was attatched to the case & not the spray so when the clip came undone i lost the spray 😒.

I love you, Ryan and Stella. I have always loved your vlogs and the good vibes you have and give to followers. Lately, I have been a bit disappointed since you mentioned becoming more sustainable, but you have some much stuff and clothes which does not really comply with it. Last videos have been about mostly materialistic things. Your vlogs have not been that interesting. I miss having vlogs where you actually do something and discuss important topics on the vlog. I don’t think being grumpy is a bad thing! It’s human nature to not be in the best mood all of the time. I planned on vlogging that day and I never want to force and smile and put on a happy show when I’m feeling down. You will always know how I’m feeling and I consider that a good thing. It’s transparency and real life. I think I voiced my frustration pretty clearly. I was tired of feeling disorganized and like all of my drawers were a mess. For someone like me who loves everything super organized (and a tad OCD) it can bring your mood down when everything is cluttered.

Just to let you know you have a very large apartment...clever units for organization would make your life easier and would definitely fit in your large space. Where I live the average size of a condo is probably about 650 sq feet with the majority being build in the downtown average 400 square feet.....so......

after watching how much stuff you have I feel much better about my stuff, I have so much less and I felt that I had too much. My hair alone is shampoo and coconut oil, body care is one body wash and some body cream plus my skincare is no more than 5 products.
