I bought those same magnetic sheets and white precut cardstock to stick it on. Now I don’t have to worry about them slipping off because it makes the pocket a little thicker. And the white cardstock piece also gives me a great place to stick pictures of sample uses and the company that made it. Love, love, love the magnetic precut sheets.

Great video Stacy, thanks for showing your storage solutions! Your stuff is very well organized. Your tip of using a gel pen to write down the letters on the magnet for your alpha dies was very helpful.

Hello Stacy, writting to you from my hospital room, have a major blood red rash going up my leg from my ankle. Really enjoyed watching how you organize. I have die cuts all over my house literally. Ps, hope you have in’s on all of your beautiful things. I got ins, have tons of $ invested in this hoppy, still not organized by any means, everything is in bins all over my house. I live alone, so no one cares, except my daughter when she stops by once in a blue moon. Tyfs. Blessings

Thanks for sharing. I love seeing how people organise their goodies. I get so many good ideas. Gosh you must have put in a lot of effort to get it like that. I bet it makes it so much easier to find things, and much more fun to craft since you don't spend half the time looking for what you need 😍

Just FYI - You can use the heavy duty (or even standard) pocket protectors from Staples etc and stitch on your sewing machine to make the pockets. Put a piece of cardboard in -- then cut a flap on the top and bottom half about 2 inches down in tab shape. Then on your regular sewing machine stitch across the very top (about 1/4 inch down) and across the center at the hole punch to make your own two pocket page protectors! Works great for me!

And I note you were talking about EverNote - Stacy I have begun using OneNote which is a part of Microsoft Office 355. I photograph or use the manufacturer / wholesaler images I capture with Snagit, then I put them into One Note as small .jpg images. My One Note Album is sectioned like a huge book; main sections for the craft item type e.g. die, then subfolders for themes. This may be helpful to some of your followers. Cheers!

Stacy, this was a great video. I am “mostly” organized but I picked up a few tips from you to help me finish the job, like what do I do with these leftover die cuts I don’t need. Just one question, though…where can I find your generous binder spine label pockets. They are not on Nancy’s list and what I’ve seen are long and narrow, not chunky enough to get a nice list of exactly what’s in the binder. Thanks for taking time out of your day to film this. It sure helped me! Bonnie

I wish I'd been able to be a part of this live, my friend Ruth and I have been committed to overhauling our respective die / stamp / embossing folder and stencil storage and we went with the binder idea - definitely a few of your thoughts we'll be looking further into. Ruth bought a fuse machine which she thought was a game changer, but I note your thoughts about the integrity and resilience of the sealing - esp with dies which are quite rough on seals of any sort (we all know that feeling when they come flying outta their envelopes!) so I'm bearing that in mind. I've experimented with A4 plastic coin storage protector sheets which are great for little teeny dies esp alpha-numeric ones, and you can get them in quarter page, tri-per-page, half-page formats. One thing I would really love to get some thoughts on, are that I notice a lot of bloggers - yourself, Jen McGuire, Simon H for a start - tend to store things by manufacturer. Me, as an end-user, I tend to store by theme. If I'm looking to make a birthday card for example, I take my bottle of wine and my binder marked "BIRTHDAYS' (so many I had to separate from 'CELEBRATIONS') to the living room couch where I pop on KZbin and chill watching vids while I go through ONE binder that focuses on that theme. From that I'll select the dies, stencils, embossing folders, stamps I want for my project. Couldnt imagine doing that if I had them all by manufacturer - though as I said, I get it if one was a blogger. Anway - I'm inspired and encouraged by your vid Stacy and join others in thanking you so much - btw I'm in Perth, Western Australia :-) G'day, Mate!

Thank you for your comment and insight, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! As for storing things by manufacturer, at one point I only stored certain ones that way such as Blue Knight Rubber Stamps (BKRS) as those are mostly silhouette stamps. However, the majority of my stamps are stored by theme. I only recently separated out my Catherine Pooler items as I'm occasionally a guest designer and it made sense to have all CP stuff together so I could more easily find it all. I believe that's why creators will store it this way too. If you are on a design team for specific companies, you sometimes are limited to only using their brand so it might be store by that company but then within those binders, it might be separated by theme or type. Again, my CP stuff is in three binders, background stamps, stamps and then dies. Ultimately, it just depends on what works for you. 😊 If you are the type of person who thinks of a stamp and the the company instead of the theme, then store them that way. Do what will make it easy for you to find what you are looking for. I've read organizational tips that say, if you can't find something, and you eventually find it, move it/store it in the place you looked first as that is where you feel it should be stored based on your actions. I agree! You may need to tweak how you store items based on what your inclination is to go looking for it. Someone recently gave me a tip on the Fuse tool: she said to place a piece of cardboard under the item your working in to give the tool more surface to fuse as it'll dig in to the cardboard as it's working. And then flip it over and do the same on the backside. I haven't tried it yet, but it makes sense. 😊 Again, thank you for your comment and I hope you catch my next live, whenever that is. 😘

Stacy I have my stamps and dies in books also. I like your packing tape closure idea as thing falling out is my issue. I have started doing the same as you for my sentiments but I am still working on the labeling. I notice your Catherine Pooler color wheel. Did you laminate the wheel AND the spinning pointer? I like that idea too. Great video as I got some good ideas from you. I just couldn’ tell if you laminated the pointer on the color wheel. Than you, put this video out !

I store my dies in binders already, so I stopped in to see if I could pick up new tips. Not my style of video. I'm a 'get to the point person'. I do like friendly, but there's too much talking off-subject. Rambling.
