Great video man, I think I'm going to adopt some of that good quality advice! Anki is super beneficial for me as a pre-dental student taking micro and cell biology, and also genetics.. On a side note, I can't wait until you make another clinical video! Although I enjoy them all, I learn something each time! Thanks again my friend! 😎✌

The way you organize your tags is an incredible yet simple system! That works! I wanted to know how did you get the extra subtitles for your edit page on Anki? I only get Front and Back and Extra if I decide to do a Cloze. A separate Anki yt vid would be so appreciated!

Hey Stephen! I've been following your channel for a couple of months now and love the videos. I'm gonna be starting my D1 year at Penn in about a month, and want to try to study with anki while taking in-person classes. Do you think that it's doable to make cards as a note-taking method in class, then review at the end of the day? Thank you so much for all of the time you put into this channel, I'm sure it will be a great resource for dental students for years to come!

Yeah pretty much!! Later in dental school, we didn’t have nearly as much didactic work to do and therefore less organization of courses etc. But I did still have to organize everything in my life, and I made other videos showing how I did that!

Quick question, rather than making tags, couldn't you just make sub-folders?

You could do it that way! The two reasons I use tags instead are that I don't have to make as many decks which arguably saves a tiny bit of time (organization of tons of decks gets more complicated than managing tags) and if I ever want to study multiple types of information, I can choose to make a custom study that includes certain tags. So I can get very specific in my custom studies with which tags I want to include instead of having everything separated out into different decks!
