Thanks for watching Dolls :) These were just a few tips for packing and I hope you found this video helpful. My checked luggage weighed in 48 lbs (22.2 kg to be exact) so I didn't have to pay extra. Hello! Glad you were able to find great items. Something that can be helpful when packing shoes you've worn is to put plastic clear shower caps around them. They're stretchy and conform to most shoes, then you have more flexibility with how they're packed bc you don't have to worry about the dirty bottoms touching everything 😊

You should have put the new shoes in the new handbags in your hand luggage! that way if you did lose your check in, you'd only lose the boxes xx

Great video! I try to put all the luxury goodies in my cabin luggage as well, just in case. When I came back from a trip, I placed my Gucci shoes inside my cabin luggage along with my other goodies. I just stuffed the shoe box with my clothes and small items to keep the shape. :)

I'm really surprised that you didn't place your new shoes inside of the new bags and place the smaller new items inside of the new canvas bag. place the bb inside of the black shoebox on the side since that box is the wider of the 3 and the width of the bb and place it where the bb was between the dirty clothes and the folded stuff and place the tshirts inside of one of the other shoe boxes that way every luxury item would have been in the carry on. The Antigona is sturdy enough to hold a shoe with no damage if in a dust bag. I carry my rock studs in it often. Packing my new items in checked luggage would have gave me anxiety the whole ride home. But after saying all of that, your Tetris skills are A1 😉

Hi Minnie, Great video for me today since I'm going to Europe today starting out in Prague and going on a river cruise.The reason I like soft luggage is because it is lighter And I think you can fit more. It's had for me not too take lots of clothes. I am planning on purchasing one or two LV bags and some little accessories and some souvenirs.I hope it all fits.

Hi Minnie, quick tip 😉: next time put your luxury shoes in your carry-on in their dust bag and put the empty boxes in the check-in luggage. In your case for example, you could have put your new Chanel and Valentino shoes in your stuffed LV bag or even in the little space you had on the other side of the carry-on. Less stress you know !!! 😃

If they were both canvas I would have defineitly done it :) It is stressful but after having had to check my carry-on once before due to an overbooked flight, I know that there's always a chance I will have to check it in :( Thanks for watching Doll! Great video Minnie! I'm always concerned with packing luxe/expensive items in my check-in. Therefore, I always carry a large bag (handbag inside) along with my carry on and pack the luxe/expensive items in the two. I also roll every piece of garment to allow space.

Awesome to know the LV boxes collapse! We're going to London this summer and I'm planning on buying a bag or two and was thinking I'd have to pass on the boxes. When I buy shoes on trips I often take the shoes out of the boxes, fill the boxes with other items (like the tees you bought) in my checked luggage. Then I pack the shoes in their dust bags in my carry on luggage. I've had my luggage delayed (never completely lost...) so I'm paranoid!

I Loved this video so much! I can tell you're an experienced, well traveled, amazing jet setter, that's soo Awesome! I learned so much from this video. I always try to travel light. I also like to take older clothes that Just in case I might have to leave them behind to make room for my items I'm bringing back. I was so Blown away at how to broke those Luis Vuitton boxes down, I never realized how they so easily folded flat. I agree I love the hard shelled suit cases much better. I noted that Brand name Delsey , I need to invest in a new luggage set, I really like your luggage set. I'm so impressed you didn't have to pay any over rate fees, that's Amazing! I'm so glad you were able to bring those shopping bags back , I would definitely have to bring them back too, we don't see those shops in America, so it's really cool. Hi, Minnie! Thank you for your videos, I love watching them all. Question regarding packing your goodies in your check in luggage. How will you show the customs officer if they ask to see your items when asking for VAT? I know many terminals have the electronic VAT return, but on one of my return trips back to the states from Paris, I did have to stand in line and get a stamp. Luckily, I was able to put all my goodies into my check in, but would have been worried and stressed if I had to produce my items and they were in my check in luggage. Can you answer this on Minks Monday? Thanks!

One tip: next time if yo9u have shoes - empty the boxes and put your other staff in the boxes and put your new shoes in the carry on luggage (you can also put some of the shoes if they are soft in the bags). You will have the boxes, and your shoes will be safe with you :)

I found that the discounts in London weren't as great as they are in Heathrow because Global Blue / Premier Duty free takes about 6-8% of the VAT. In Heathrow, I picked up several pieces from Chanel (WOC), Diorever, and Cartier Just En Clou and received almost the full 20% VAT tax discount without having to fill out the duty feee form

How much can you bring back before having to pay additional duty fees? I've been reading up to $800 and 3% for an additional $1000 but what happens if you exceed $1800 per traveler? Is it still worth it?

It's $800 for one & $1600 per couple. Minks4All posted a video about VAT discounts & customs. She brought in much more and they didn't ask her to pay fees. It was if customs thought she was too honest and ended up waiving the duties for her. IMHO, most people probably only claim $800 to avoid taxes...and customs likely only care about people bringing in goods to resell

I'm like that, I always want to bring my boxes and bags, now regarding shoes I might have issues because I always wrap mine in bags just because I am scared of all germs we step on all the time, but I see most people don't care about it.... anyhow, have you ever had to pay taxes?
