This was the opposite of boring - you were clear & concise & showed everything I wanted to see, without adding a lot of unrelated chatter! I've watched hundreds of videos on this subject & yours is one of the Few I've been able to watch all the way through, because you stayed on topic the whole time - which is exactly why I found this video so helpful! I love watching genuine order packing videos, I find them useful but also quite satisfying/calming (the same way cleaning videos can be satisfying/calming to watch) All this to say: Tysm for sharing your tips with us - I love the extra touches, like the thank-you stickers & cards - it really makes a difference & it's not silly at all! I'd love to know where you got your flat lay background from - I'm going to see if you've already made a video on it. Thanks again!

Great video :) I used to buy thank you cards from Dollar Tree but then that became an additional cost so what I now do is I use the extra paper I cut from the shipping label and write my thank you note in there coz I hate wasting paper :) those polymailers are cute!

I actually try to leave a little bit of space where I fold and seal my polymailer because if it's folded too snug against the item, you run the risk of the buyer accidentally cutting into it

Clearly I'm binging youtube today with all of my comments haha! BUT, Dymo 4 XL is LIFE changing! First of all, it's heat transferred/thermal so ZERO ink needed. I order rolls maybe 2 times a year and they last forever since they are rolls of 200 labels. Second.... you can use it for other things. I make label stickers with mine for organizing my stuff. Sometimes I make funny labels for boxes that are ugly if I am shipping on Mercari, I use it for labeling storage bins for the basement, I even make a general thank you message that I stick on my cellophane bags etc etc.
@bperez90662 жыл бұрын
Wow thanks for those tips! I always just assumed those were limited to shipping labels only. I’ve been using my regular printer. I’ll invest in a dymo!!

I love my bread bags! I hate those stiff, rigid kind with the sticky flap. I like the sticky flap, but the stiffness in the bags give them that cheap "from China" vibe, bc those are what thing's from there come from. P.S. I put a thank you sticker on the back of my TY cards.
@MichellePetermann4 жыл бұрын
I use plastic bags too! Not the bags you use but just clear, ziploc bags I bought online. I feel like it protects the items better than just sticking in a poly or box. Maybe because I live in WI lol...but I package my items as if they were going to be sitting in an inch of snow :)
@brucetidwell77153 жыл бұрын
That is very kind of you! A book I bought a few weeks ago got ruined because my mail person left it on the front steps in a rain storm. That was NOT the sellers fault but I do wish they had done more than just wrap it tightly in brown paper.

I do have some advice for your printer, ahah! I've found the dollar tree sells 4x6 labels by jot you can use in your regular printer, they're basically 5.5 cents (at 18 labels for a dollar) and they stick. You could literally get them to send it to your local dollar tree via online or pay for ups shipping (six bucks). the only issue you will run into is needing to buy 24 packs of them at once. I find them handy, but today I sold my first poshmark item and had an issue with the printing size, so you may want to work the bugs out with the printer on regular paper first before wasting labels like i did :( haah.

Hi! I see so many people complementing you on you packaging strategy and I too think it’s very thoughtful, but it buffles me that no one reacts to how wasteful it is… You package your items in not one, but two layers or unnecessary plastic just for the cute looks. For me as a customer it would be much more important to see that the seller cares about the environment and spares the plastic. It would feel awful for me to have to throw all those plastic bags I get for ordering one sweater. It is still 100% possible to wrap sth sustainably and pretty. Don’t mean to criticize you, you seem to be a very thoughtful and caring person, so here is just some food for thought! Especially since people come here for tips, you could inspire many to think more sustainably about the packaging. All best, M
@oliveoconnor55892 жыл бұрын
Exactly. The shipping bags can be easily purchased on amazon made from recycled paper and not expensive at all. And the second plastic layer is completely useless. It is highly unlikely that the package will get soaked in the Mail

{Just realized that this is a year old, but I've already typed out the comment, so...} I used to try to match the card to the item - now I just make sure the card/sticker/whatever doesn't clash with the item. Also, I put every. Single. Item. in plastic because I sent someone a coat once, USPS somehow caused the box to have ripped holes in it (ran over it? I can't imagine), and then dirty water seeped into the box and ruined the coat (it was one of those super cool long suede, sherpa-lined coats - $199 sale! Thankfully, Posh still released my funds) I enjoy watching your videos :)

We're well into our Posh journey and still use our regular Canon printer and the free 4x6 USPS priority mail labels and just adjust the size to 4x6 and 70% when printing :) Make the change as soon as you can it's nuts how much time and hassle it saves you
