This is great! Good info for sure. Personally I prefer doing the same as you for the airbrush base, then going in with some very light washes to bring some more color to different areas. I'm still not great but having that complexity of tones helps it read as not painted y'know? Also insane job on the irises jeez

Thank you! I should really do the red, brown and blue washes to add depth at some point like I've seen a few people do, I just get worried I'll do too much and ruin it 😅
