Hi from France. Taren, thanks for this very informative video. Yet with holes like those you got in your wetsuit, I think I'd go to" Mrs The wife" and plead for a new wetsuit... However, there's something I noticed a while ago that's got nothing to do with wetsuits: how come yoy wear your bike glasses under your helmet straps? Everybody I know wear them on the straps; but me coz I wear a Casco speedairo with an integrated visor ;-)

Hey man got a question about sunburn. I remember you getting quite a huge sunburn in Campeche. I got a really nasty one too because my trisuit unzipped itself in the back when I took off my wetsuit at my half ironman. Too bad my back wasn't covered with sunscreen and ended up with a massive sunburn. Now I'm itching to go run and ride again but my back is itching too, and I'm afraid of losing too much water and electrolytes while doing sport, slowing the recovery. Do you have any tips, like things to eat/drink or lotions that will speed up recovery? Thanks man and congrats on the 2nd place KOM

Sorry, once you're burnt you're pretty well burnt. Coconut oil helps the recovery process, aloe vera based lotions as well.

Hi Taren. Great help with patch repair. But for a complete through hole you mention put a membrane under it. What is this membrane you speak of? Thats the only thing im not sure about. Keep up the top work. Isle of man trainiac!!

This year we have a much better solution. ULOW Liquid PVC, without patches, only one component.

This guy is a hack, and should never be allowed to touch another wetsuit. Just take it to a professional repair shop!

"This guy" reads the comments on his videos. Thanks for calling me a hack, that's so sweet of you. You sound like a very nice and positive person. Also, common sense would tell you that not everyone always has access to a repair shop. People do need to patch their own suits very often.

Clark Bernhard this is the worst repair advice I’ve ever seen. I used to work in a surf shop and the way you repair a suit is glueing edge to edge like putting puzzle pieces together. You only use enough glue to touch the edges to each other (NO OVER LAPPING OR SMEARING GLUE, the glue is not a patch). If it’s a big hole then cut a patch in a square or circle with the remnant piece of neoprene that comes with all suits or get a piece from a surf or dive ship. Then cut a same size/shape hole in the suit to and glue the edges together like a puzzle piece. Nub.

Let me say first off I'm a huge watcher of Taren, and mate, I love your work generally, but I have to say, this is definitely *not* the way to use this product (McNetts Seal Cement). The glue is formulated as a "contact" adhesive, and the application you are showing is simply not correct, or even close to being correct. I rarely comment on KZbin, but have piped up here to let people know that it may be in their best interests to read the instructions from McNetts, rather than relying on KZbin videos. Sorry to bomb your post Taren, but these suits are expensive, and I'm sure you'd agree that you don't want to lead folks astray.
