Holy heck thank you so much Kyle, you have helped me restructure and plan any future trip by sharing Milanote. I've been using the notes application and marking places down with stars and flags for years on google maps, but this is a far better way to structure a project or trip. I am so happy to be able to use this for future trips and projects!

Looks like something I can't do without, just planning a trip to Northumberland, interested to see if it can be dynamically linked to tide table websites, weather websites, clear outside and photopills plans . Will give it a try, really like that images can be added as story boards. Will probably have 20+ locations to shoot and this has the potential to really improve on the simple spreadsheet approach

As a Brit who now lives in Canada, i find this super interesting. I do a lot of multi-day photographic trips on the Alberta and Saskatchewan prairies and nearly always organized by pen. This app looks amazing and well thought out. It would also work for my bikepacking trips as well. My mum is near Reading and so is my sister. Small world. Great videos.

Hi Kyle, another really good vid as usual. Being a keen photographer (amateur) I have been watching your vid's for a long time now and enjoy them and your photography immensely, but never, ever did I think I would see Southend on the Mull of Kintyre mentioned in one of them. My father and his half of our family are from Campbeltown and my grandmother used to live at Stewarton which is on the main road between Campbeltown and Southend. If you have time when you are there you might try visiting the Carradale area as I am sure you will find something of interest pictorially. Aside from that I believe Carradale beach is where part of the filming for Paul McCartney's 1977 hit 'Mull of Kintyre,' which featured the Campbeltown Pipe Band was filmed. It spent 9 weeks at number one in the UK charts and I believe for many years was the biggest selling single of all time. It is a beautiful part of the country but if you intend to visit in the winter months I am not sure that is the wisest decision. We used to go there a lot when I was young for our annual holiday and even now I can recall relatives saying "if only you had come up last week, the weather was beautiful"...........and that was in July/August!!! I haven't been there for many years now but your vid did bring back memories. Enjoy and it will be interesting to see any vid you might make of your trip.

Hey Ian, funny enough, you're the second person to tell me about a family connection with this area. I had another photographer reach out through email. What a coincidence, especially as this just came from some Google mapping 🙂 I'll definitely look up the Carradale area. And yeah, I hear you about the winter. I know the weather it probably dicey. I find though, sometimes that's when you experience the best 'moments'... or, it could just rain for five days straight, haha. Fingers crossed!

Thanks Kyle, great ideas here. This is a great way to balance out going on an "unknown adventure" with planned ideas to bank at least a few photos. Too often I've gone on road trips and come away with very little because of poor prior planning or forgetting to bring some piece of gear. Not sure if you've done a video on your car camping set-up, but I'm always interested in how other's set-up their vehicle for overnighting and deciding where to overnight, particularly in areas without national parks and such. Cheers!

There's only very limited google streetview coverage in Germany due to data protection laws so that makes it difficult to use google maps to get an idea of a place, and pictures of those places aren't always good or readily available :/

Wow really interesting, total opposite of how I prefer to do trips. Accomodation is my only constant, when not car camping. Other than that I find the discovery of pictures onc of the main rewards of the trip (other than the picture obviously). I much prefer the impulsive, impromptu, improvisational methodology, makes it feel more, I don't know, adventurous I suppose. Cheers 👍

For sure. I get that. As mentioned in the vid, I like to loosely plan, and leave room for discovery along the way. 🙂

That's how I've often done it, but more and more I find that I wind up wasting my sunrise and sunset hours in places where I can't find an interesting scene. I'm starting to plan my trips more with a major destination in mind, but knowing that if I spot something better I can always change my plans.

Kind of ironic this video comes out just as COVID is making a strong resurgence to the point that even travel inside the UK could (I say could not would or will) suddenly get restricted. I hope your able to do your Scotland trip but I'd be ready for the Scottish to suddenly restrict travel into Scotland from England & Wales like they did before earlier in the year.
