I don’t know why but I was most impressed by the bouncing cube at the end
@NamePointer3 жыл бұрын
I made it in a few minutes. It's just a rigidbody simulation in Blender with a high bounce factor. It doesn't even collide with the world, but with an invisible plane.
@sdstjbfjhredbjtr78912 жыл бұрын
Same, it seems so realistic
@satgurs2 жыл бұрын
A bit late, but it seemed to interact with the world the most, making it very impressing. If the liquid interacted with the world instead of being in a container, it would definitely be the most impressive.
@sebastiangudino93772 жыл бұрын
@@satgurs The cube very much did not interact with the world. That's simply not a feature of this process. The blender scene cannot interact with the Minecraft world. The cube is just bouncing on a plane

@sebastiangudino93772 жыл бұрын
Most of them can be done in literally less than 10 clicks. Like the explosion, the fluid and the cube. Not saying he IS bad, is just that blender is pretty flipping good at physics. The Minecraft one does require more work, involving texture, rigging, manual key frames and a whole lot more
@milaberdenisvanberlekom46152 жыл бұрын
It's always the engineers enabling the artists. Someone like Jake Eyes could USE this process as a part of his own workflow and probably make higher quantity and quality animations that still have a lot of character. Like in the VFX world or electronic music scene

Some seriously impressive stuff you got there, you have a great skillset :) 4:50 go around straight lines in the edges of the triangulated mesh, should work fine if the mesh is dense enough compared to the voxel size.
@NamePointer3 жыл бұрын
Yes you're right, but if you know the mesh is dense, why not just use the vertices because it's much faster. If you want it to work with low-poly, unsubdivided meshes you have to somehow get a bunch of points on the surface at regular intervals, and that sounds complicated.
@IchigoFurryModder3 жыл бұрын
You can probably just do the edges between the vertices and do the same 3-way interpolation you use for getting the pixels in a rasterized triangle, just in 3d, and use those points.
@NamePointer3 жыл бұрын
That makes sense, it could be a solution.

How was Fabric? When I switched from Forge to Fabric I found that it was a lot faster and lighter weight, and much easier to make mods for. There's so much less boilerplate and so much less registration and stuff required to do something. You just code like it's vanilla MC and you get a game with literally only the modifications you want. It's so refreshing. I have a Fabric client that consists entirely of tweaks to make the vanilla game better. It's so good for playing on multiplayer. Forge is so heavy it's not worth it over vanilla if you're not running a 300-mod tech pack. And even then only because Fabric doesn't have a lot of content mods yet.
