Not weird at all. I used to work in a doctors office. Patients used to bring us desserts all the time and we of course loved it. You’re very sweet

Dentist offices love it too. Ironically, you would think that a dentist office would have no sweets, but every office I worked at had a candy bucket or stash for the employees.

Jaquie, I have to thank you! You have been an intricate part, of making my life, with chronic pain, a lot easier, by encouraging me, to be my own, biggest advocate. I have spoken up, at doctors appointments, and I was casted for my own custom AFO, for my left foot, and ankle, which has been causing me to fall, for the last 8 years. I have something called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, and because of how it affects the involuntary things that my body is supposed to do, it has caused significant weakness (more than usual, with Osteogenesis Imperfecta), in my left leg. I had an appointment to get a new knee brace, because my old one was way too big, since I've lost nearly 100lbs, since my last spinal cord surgery, in 2013, and I was having to fold the material in, on itself, in order to make it fit "properly"... and even still, it was too large. But I was also casted for my custom AFO! It will correct the foot drop, and my tendency for my foot to roll out, to the outside, and cause my ankle to turn. My Mom used to help me with things like this, and suggest I speak up, during appointments, but sadly, she passed away, in November. So, I want to thank you, for being such an encouragement and inspiration to me, so I can get the help, and the tools I need, so that I can live MY best possible life, and keep myself moving forward. I really wanted to get one of your shirts, from last year, but I simply couldn't afford one... but I am hoping that I can get one from this year. I can't wait to see the new design! Thank you, for sharing your life with us, and being so great, at successfully making the world, more aware, about life with chronic illness, and chronic pain! You, Judd & Harlow are awesome! 💕💖

Hi Jaquie I'm so glad you were able to have a date with Judd! I made cookies for my doctor's office. I think it's cool that even when you are in pain you push yourself to do things. God bless you and your family. LOVE and PRAYERS ALWAYS!!!

@Judd there is definitely a difference between a 20 and 22 gauge needle when it comes to flushing! lol Also Jacquie, I was curious to know if you have heard of the gastric electrical stimulators? I just read about them for the first time today and they are supposed to help significantly with gastroparesis. It essentially makes the stomach contract. Have your doctors ever mentioned this new technology? Not saying it would be right for you- just curious as too how much info is out there about them and if youve heard of it.

They are helpful for some people. I however am likely to worsen from one unfortunately as the surgery I had last year, a pyloroplasty (widen the part of the stomach that empties), seems to have failed. It's unfortunately not one size fits all.

on the Kate Farms article about you it said your mitochondrial disease causes your EDS but mito does not cause eds. do you see a mito specialist? i have mito diagnosed via muscle biopsy and blood work and see a specialist who said it does not and cannot cause eds it just may cause what looks like eds as it causes low muscle tone causes joints to be loose. i wouldn’t put that your mito caused eds unless you’re for sure! if your mito did cause eds could you lmk what type!?

Nooooooo I just made my first ever comment on your vlogs and it got eaten by the Internet! Anyway I was hoping you could do another cleaning hack video after tube awareness week is over? I'm struggling to figure out how to clean my cleaning tools (dusting wand etc) without triggering my allergies or contaminating my washing machine. I can't afford to throw away the dusting wand every time it gets dirty. Dusting is my household chore and my parents don't believe my allergies are that bad so they wont let me trade with my brother 😂 I'm so glad I found your vlogs, they've changed my outlook on life!

For everyone that read my dog his story on the vlog off the 5th of february (sorry for my grammar there english is not my native language). Thanks for all the nice comments. Today he was seen again after a day of not been seen. Then after a Search for an hour we got a phone call that a kid was able to catch him and he was now in a classroom. I went there and got him, there i saw he had no wounds visually. But to be sure he had nothing inside we went to the veterinarian and inside was also nothing wrong with him. So now he is home after 2 days and except he is dirty he is fine.

Why is baking so much more difficult than cooking? I'm a pretty decent cook, but baking a simple cake is a form of sorcery I cannot seem to master. Those brownies looked good though, well done :)
@FiMilton7 жыл бұрын
It is because cooking is an art and baking is a science. Baking is also about reactions so it has to be the right ratios but with cooking you just do it to taste!
@kawai96827 жыл бұрын
I am the opposite! I can bake pretty much anything and everything all from scratch! But when it comes to cooking im mediocre. Give me a recipe for any baked goods and im good to go but give an egg to fry and well hope you dont mind popped yolks!

Sarina Frohn she always uses hand sanitizer beforehand :)
@ChronicallyJaquie7 жыл бұрын
+Sarina Frohn sterile gloved are required for port needle changes but no IV meds/infusions. For example, the tubing itself on the outside isn't kept sterile (it touches my backpack, skin, etc) BUT the connection to my port IS sterile. I alcohol swab it. Also, they are right about the hand sanitizer (:

Have you ever considered swimming for exercise or is there too many complications with that? It takes the pressure of joints
@irishis796 жыл бұрын
Myojin Yang because Jaquie always has her port accessed, because of her risk, for anaphylaxis, that is why she doesn't swim. She cannot get the port wet, while it is accessed, because it creates a higher risk of infection. Otherwise, she probably would take advantage of the benefits of aquatherapy. But, until they start making a covering, that actually seals out moisture, completely, I don't think Jaquie will do the aquatherapy. But it is a very good question! ;D

They are usually creeped out by it and nicely throw it away when the person leaves. Only if it's a LONG time patient or a patient they also know outside of a hospital/doctors office setting do they normally eat it. It's the thought that counts though!
