All I can say is that you spoke the truth I started my braid journey last year May 16, 2021 my hair was at the tip of my shoulders and now it’s touching the tip of my bra strap. PROTECTIVE STYLES DOES WORK NO CAP 🧢. Black Castor Oil and I use Kings Natural.

Do you automatically get a new braid style after washing your hair or do you give your hair breaks in between. I'm thinking about keeping my hair in braids to retain length.
@bunky54003 жыл бұрын
@@deshickerson4531 when I take my braids down I deep condition my hair oil my scalp and yes a I do let my hair breath b4 the next style I may go a week until I get my hair braided again.

Oh wow! That's awesome! How long do you keep your braids in? The longest I keep them in is three months (uni. work load) and when I take them down I notice significant growth. However, I also notice quite a lot of split ends. In the end, I'm forced to trim them off and lose a lot of length. Do you ever experience this?

How often do you wash your hair when you have braids? How long do you keep your hair in braids before you redo them? How long do you give your hair a break from protective styles?
@lkkkkkkkkkkkkkYEA4 жыл бұрын
I think all these answers depend on your hair specifically. What might work for her may not work for you. Just get the braids & determine as you go.

My hair grew so much because of box braids and when I have my natural hair out I use blue magic Indian hemp. The first I used blue magic it was terrible because I used so much it was so greasy.

i just put some box braids to see if it makes my hair retain any length - i feel like my hair isn’t growing too much. i did do a semi big chop again ... i guess a hair journey part 2 after i did some bleaching process ... it wasn’t critically hurt, but my hair has been stubborn... so imma see how these box braids go. 4-6 weeks is my goal.

Hey people! I could really use some advice. I use box braids to retain length and also because as a uni. student, they save a lot of time. The longest I go with braids is three months. Whenever I take them down, I notice significant growth. It amazes me. However, this is accompanied by very bad split ends. Which means I have to trim off the ends when I take down my braids and end up losing my newly acquired length. I moisturize my hair whilst it's in braids with my water and aloe spritz and wash and oil my scalp with castor oil. What can I do about the split ends that develope while my hair is in braids? I'd appreciate your advice 😊
@tonieamannministries2 жыл бұрын
Your hair should not be splitting if you are properly trimming or dusting your ends. You may be taking your braids out wrong, being too rough on the hair as you take it out. Be gentle with your hair. Make sure to keep your braids and scalp are moisturized and oiled.

Make sure your braider is not bringing the hot water up. She could be burning the ends of your natural hair . Make sure they only dip the ends of the braids

Yep that virgin hair oil thing is really good and that jive do tingle a little but i feel good i got the peppermint oil one but yea it's good
@zalishainniss39633 жыл бұрын
Facts thanks sis 💕 I'm definitely going to purchase the virgin hair fertilizer again. Because when I used to that product constantly for 2 months on my crochet style braids straight to the back. When I took them out my fam noticed my hair growth. I need to incorporate that again, and maybe mixing it with some oil cuz it definitely has a strong scent. #4cgirl

Please help, A patch of my hair in the back has broken completely out down to the new growth...but all the other areas of my hair are LONG.....should I chop all my hair off and start over or should I just try and grow out the back part of my hair? It'll never catch up with the rest of my hair though even if I don't cut all my hair ?? what should I do😞

I damaged my hair with bleach tryna so the skunk stripe dye, and I just cut it off after letting it grow a lil, my spot was mor noticeable tho and in an obvious spot at the bottom chunk of my hair so I cut it to a bob

Try taking collagen, msm powder, and matcha add it to your tea and honey. Been doing it for 2 months and my hair is growing
@kurlykinkzco60532 жыл бұрын
You can also add msm to Aleo Vera juice water tea tree oil and Rosemary oil in a spray bottle. I use this as my leave in everyday.

@@ib961 it all depends on how you take care of them and your hair tbh but for me it takes 2-3 weeks to grow a inch since that’s normally how long i keep them in

I love box braids, I've been getting them all the time since I was in 6th grade, I had relaxers and went swimming a lot in lakes when I was younger so my hair got really damaged but box braids really saved it, now I'm a sophomore and im getting my braids redone this Sunday, but ever since I started wearing them my hair has gotten way healthier and Stronger and is getting longer than it was when I was younger(i had long hair when I was younger) also I haven't put any heat in it for about 5 years now
