Thank you for this great tutorial! I have the exact same machine and 5 quilt tops! I'm so scared to get started. Quilting gloves might be the game changer! I have quilted on this machine, but without gloves, I'm hoping to get some soon and give it another try!

@@jacquipayne7346 I didn’t think the gloves would make much difference but they definitely do for me.

I have this exact machine and was wondering whether it would be suitable for quilting so im so happy i found this video...thank you! Can you tell me where youbgot your walking foot from and is this a generic brand or from Brother?
@SarasQuiltingJourney3 ай бұрын
@@zkm457 Hello. I bought my machine on Amazon so I think it’s a generic brand because when I went to the Brother website to order a walking foot the machine number didn’t exist. I did order the SA107 walking foot and it fit this machine perfectly. I purchased the walking foot from the Brother website.

I have this exact same machine and I use a Singer walking foot - works just fine!

Do you only use a chalk marker to mark your lines?
@SarasQuiltingJourney2 ай бұрын
I have actually never used a chalk marker. I usually just use painters tape to mark my lines.

I have a brothers machine for quilts. It has a longer neck. It’s my first electronic machine (as opposed to manually turning dials). Do you have any idea, and if so will you please share, what length stitch and what buttons and numbers to use to achieve that stitch that looks as if you hand sewed it with embroidery thread. It’s kind of a series of dashes. I’ve experimented but so far I haven’t had success.
