The honeymoon stage. boy was that a beautiful time for me. But it lasted maybe 8 Or nine months. I knew that this was going to be a very tough monkey to break. The way it made me feel. It made me feel better than if I did six percocets. It lasted way longer the good feeling. And the dreams at night were incredible.

@@grace.at.sunrise Thank you. For me getting through the initial physical wd has become the predictable part. It's the mind and spirit that becomes difficult once I'm not fixated on physical distress. Having to feel things that don't feel good. Thanks and have a good day.

@@outtosea25for me, as well.. the first year & a half after quitting was pretty brutal for me as I got used to feeling again, & having to navigate all the stuff that I hadn’t felt while using. But I found that the more I allowed myself to feel, the better i eventually felt after processing those feelings. And in the end, it 100% made me a better person, despite how painful that processing was. Keep on keepin on, Brother.. I’m here if u ever need anything 🙏

“I knew that if I stayed in that place for however many more years that that was going to hurt me more than it was to wean myself off of this stuff. Then wean myself and quit.” Hair loss is a common kratom abuse side effect huh?

It's a miracle for me too. I used it to go off of many addictive and deadly prescription medicines I was on for the pain of long term traumatic stress. It works better for my pain too. I've been taking it for seven years at about 10 GPD. Minor side effects sometimes, but nothing like opiates, benzos, Adderall, and Cymbalta. I'll go with nature anytime.

Just wanted to say you’ve been a huge blessing. Just a question, when you said you lost half ur hair, do you think that was because of the big doses as I’m at 4gpd rn tapering from 12gpd. And do u notice it growing back? God bless
@grace.at.sunrise2 ай бұрын
Thanks for being here.. I think the hair loss was due to a mixture of health issues that the kratom was causing, and that the large doses were definitely exasperated things. It took many years to grow it back- I’m 4 years kratom free and it took most of it to get to where I am now. God bless 🙏

I see you getting emotional... Isn't it strange how it makes you so numb. I describe it as novacaine for the soul. You really appreciate life when you taper..., ive been watching your videos tonight. I tell ya my story is like yours but i have been on it for TEN YEARS ! i handled things pretty dang good up until this last year... When you said you puked a lot boy did that hit home. I could sit and talk to you for hours on this subject... I am kicking it now. Slowly going down in mg. Per day. Crazy crazy stuff.

@grace.at.sunrise that's literally exactly what got me. Back pain and both my parents dying. What do you do to combat the pain now? I'm currently doing stretches on the floor. I've had back pain ALL week that won't go away.. usually I take K and it's gone. Now I gotta find another way to handle this.. any good ideas? I'm in tears

@@disappear_here82sorry to hear this :( not sure how long ago you quit, but I’ve found my pain tolerance greatly improved during the 2nd year of my recovery. (Kratom & opiates lower our pain tolerance over time) To deal with my chronic pain condition now, I exercise daily and use small amounts of ibuprofen (which I didn’t use before). But what I’m dealing with may not be as severe as yours) Hope you’re able to find some relief soon 🙏

Kratom is illegal in the UK, but I could still get it easily by mail order, I only took max 10-12 grams a day but after a year and a half I was taking it to feel just normal. It took the death of my brother to decide to stop cold turkey the day after his funeral, so that’s exactly what I did. It’s only been a week so far and the wds were nothing like I’ve ever experienced before, violent twitching, lashing out, hot and cold sweats and the worse thing was the insomnia, absolute hell. By the way I haven’t got the will power to taper. My thinking was when it’s gone it’s gone. The wds after 3 days are slowly getting less and less thank God. Thanks for the videos 🙏🙏
