Great video and learnings. I did a 300km road race in Melbourne and few years ago and came 2nd in my age group. The reason I did well was due to the zone 2 endurance 200+ training rides. Keep up the great content

2022 took me 15 hours and 43 minutes, had no idea how to fuel or climb, just got my first road bike about a month before that too lol. 2023 took me 10 hours 37 mins, after a mechanical at mile 50 that costed me 11 mins and never caught back up to lead group. 😢

UT, because gravel trails are everywhere and canyon roads are epic.

1:36 22.3 miles per hour average for 27 plus miles at 146 watts. I must be doing something wrong.

Only if you're riding solo in a large race. He is in a large group, drafting the vast majority of the time, with maybe a few stints at the front of the group taking the wind (maybe the 688W max power?), so avg power is very low in that group setting.

This is not the longest road bike race in the US. Race Across America would be closer to that label at 3000 miles
@RyonBeachnerАй бұрын
That’s probably why he said longest *one day* race in the US in the intro.

@@RyonBeachner Well then clickbait since the video is titled explicitly "How I Raced the Longest Road Bike Race in the USA (201 Miles)".
@RyonBeachnerАй бұрын
@@entdmII That must have been really difficult being deceived for a whole 4 seconds. How did you manage it?
