Sis!!!! I just wanna give you the biggest THANK YOU! My locs(7 1/2 yrs) have been thinning in the front and I was going to have to make a $200 dollar appointment to get them fixed. So I waited 6 months for my hair to get some new growth and decided to figure out how to do it myself. I know how to retwist my own but not how to reattach them. I found your video and we have a similar hair texture so I bought the tool and practiced. I only use the single hook but it worked great! Not inly that but I finally found a new shampoo and conditioner too. I got the Taliah Waajid green apple and aloe w/ coconut set and I got the tight hold gel Baaayybee! My hair feels so good and I didn’t have to mix any other gels to make it hold. You don’t understand what you’ve done for my confidence and my wallet. Plus I learned a new skill. How did you preserve the locs while they were cut? Does this work for smaller locs too?

ibyl I kept them protected and yet them air out from time to time. As long as you don’t let them sit in wet or extreme dry, conditions they will be fine.

I also follow you on Instagram I wish you could do my loc extensions I want to do them myself and I'm watching closely how you extended your temporary loc extensions and I was trying to learn from you how to do them but I couldn't quite get them to stay I got one to stay by doing your method butt when I did it the crochet method I went to check on my hair the other my lock the other day and pulled on it to see if it was still secure and it actually came out so I kind of put myself on hold and was thinking maybe I'd get my stylus to do it I reside in South Carolina but I like I know you travel but are actually I know people travel to you but right now I can't travel but you're very good at what you do and I I love taking you know lessons from you you know by watching you on KZbin of course so that's how I learn I learned by watching KZbin tutorials you know that's my Locs are three years but I cut my locks off the first year because I was impatient and I want that you're back I know that might sound you know that's not exactly cheating but you know if you take the time to actually do them correctly you know people really don't notice unless they come closer to you and or you know ask you what what have you done with your hair you know especially exactly correctly your hair my hair exactly you know so yeah oh but I will eventually keep added you know practice is perfect but question when you braided the hair on to your hair did you two strand braided or did you three strand braid it before you wrapped it that's what I was looking at but you were going a little too fast so so the next video you do could you just saw it down just a tad that way I could actually see how you properly you know crochet either the lock in because I'm actually on my dominant hand is right-handed but I'm also left-handed so I'm actuall apdiextric so I work faster with my left hand and I do my right hand already thank you

I’m not a professional stylist but I have done many styles on my daughter and myself! And I still totally get it, I must of had several sets of locs since I 2006 and the whole phase of bald, buzz, afro, twist, to mid back/shoulder length had me going in a loop lolz 😂 I tried reattaching 2 days ago and our length is about the same and it didn’t work for me either so I stopped and now I want to start em from scratch but a lil smaller which would be a 1st for me! Not quite sister locs but a smidgen smaller than pencil size!

Hey girl! ❤ I feel you about changing your hair. I no longer braid peoples hair due to cramping in my hands 😣 but before i locked my hair i changed my hair style often. I remember when i started a new job & my new co-workers kept reintoducing themselves to me beacuse they thought i was a different person. Lol. They were like "wow you change your hair so much!" Just found your channel and subscribed and am enjoying your videos. Saw your big chop & was holding my breath with your first cut. I've been thinking about chopping mine (21 yrs) and starting over bc of thinning. Don't know if thinning is bc of aging (59) or too heavy (recently trimmed to alleviate the weight). I love my locks and considering switching up with wigs every now and then. Had buzzed hair b4 and loved that too. Any suggestions?

Welcome back. I combed mine out in 2017 after having them for 4 years...restarted in 2018...9 months in...I love locs. Oh and I understand about the short hair...that's why I had no issues restarting from scratch.

When you reattach your locs, how long does it take for them to fuse together? I ask because i did my own at home and it took me forever but I’m always checking them over and over to see if some are slipping with several have slipped and then i just go and use the tool to put them back in but what else could i do to help me feel like they are back in permanently??
