This incredible true story details one man's battle against chronic fatigue syndrome and myalgic encephalomyelitis, and his amazing transformation from being virtually bedridden to running marathons.
Blake shares his decade long struggle living with debilitating symptoms of M.E/CFS including extreme fatigue, muscle pain, cognitive impairment and more. After years of suffering and watching his once active life slip away, he had lost all hope for recovery. Nothing he tried - not medications, supplements or therapies - made any difference in his deteriorating condition.
But everything changed when Blake discovered Toby's program specifically targeting the underlying causes of CFS/ME through lifestyle modifications. By optimizing his diet, sleep, routine and stress levels, Blake started to notice small improvements. Stick with him to learn the exact steps he took - from eliminating food sensitivities to establishing restorative sleep habits to gentle movement - and how his progress gradually accelerated.
In this video, Blake tells his incredible story of rising from the literal and metaphorical ashes of CFS/ME. Discover how he went from being almost entirely housebound, barely able to take care of himself, to running half and full marathons seemingly healthy once more. His compelling journey provides hope and insights for anyone living with chronic fatigue syndrome.

I learnt it's ok to say no to work and just live on the street. I've learnt so much on my journey, really making strides.

Yeah Toby's delusional for someone that's had CFS!! We desperately need a biomarker and until then,it's gonna be the eternal struggle!!

I feel like something finally clicked with me. That secondary depression you were talking about cost me a lot of energy without noticing. Being able to let it all go and do the work and actually feel that my sleep is getting better makes so much difference. I have relapsed 3 times now unfortunately, have made a lot of progress so I know it's possible. I just have to find a way to react more appropriatily to the warning signs:) perhaps any advice?

Such a wonderful interview. I've had this lifetime struggle that worsened over time. Unfortunately I never had a true diagnosis. I saw endocrinologist who said there was no such thing as cfs. That was in my 30s. I was administered thyroid meds but it was a bandaid for the real problem. Now in my late 40s, I had a breakthru by using light therapy, long evening walks, short workouts of 15 mins and increased protein intake. I recently had a relapse, but I am trying to reset. The protein intake is a challenge. But seeing this video really gave me hope.

Do you go somewhere to get light therapy or do you do it at home?

I got mono when I was 16 and took antibiotics for a month and also was put on them for a period of time for acne. I wonder if that's when my adrenal fatigue started. I'm 58 now and can't ever remember having energy. Still working on it.

I know the feeling, nothing helps with the physical fatigue. I found a medicine to keep me mentally alert which ive been on must be 20+ years and now they don't work.

Not a very practical video feels more like a convo between people that knowm each other rather than proper constructive KZbin content.
