there's a gain slider on the irig that he probably has too high up that's why its distorting

Or you can buy a SHTEFM(Livewire) 1/4” TRS Male 3.5mm TRS F Adapter. This is what I think was my problem for my mix being so distorted. I had the wrong adapter and one little move would make it start sounding all static. Make sure all the connections are secure and fit like a Lego set!

Chris not really, the whole purpose of the iRig is that it’s used as an interface.... so you’re able to get the best sound.
