Whenever I use cream products on dry hair I end up with so many flakes once my hair dries. Refreshing with water is a must for me. But you had great results.
@marleyhill343 жыл бұрын
Depends on the cream product and how much you use. This one is silicone based so lighter than say a shea butter based. I can't use the tap water daily where I live. Too fully of crap, so I use a light mist of rose water or a water based leave in.
@CrissyMichelle3 жыл бұрын
@@marleyhill34 I see what you’re saying but I think it has to do with my hair’s porosity. I have low porosity hair so products just tend to sit on my hair strands. I really have to work products in with water. My guess is that Kelsey may have more high porosity hair so her hair may absorb products easier than mine.

Here's me trying to make sense of why this works so well and why water-refreshing doesn't: Whenever I try to refresh my hair using water it doesn't "reactivate" the gel but more so dissolves it in a way (or maybe mixes with it?? idk), causing my hair to get even more frizzy. It makes so much sense that only the gel can "reactivate" itself. Also I used to think that adding water for a refresh was me moisturizing my hair but the hair doesn't even retain any of that water anyway because it is coated in product. So that's why it would take forever to dry because that water and gel is now just sitting on top of dirty hair. All in all, this one little video just saved future me so much time lol

Just a note. This is silicone based so if you don't shampoo with a strong non-sulfate or a gentle sulfate, you may run into issues. I use this but only put it on the ends not my entire strand length.

Depends what is in the water. I don't use tap water daily. Too much crap in it where I live. I use rose water, Aloevera juice based leave in or As I am castor oil water. The cheapest option is a gallon of distilled water. Not mineral water. My hair doesn't like minerals daily.

When doing wash n go’s.. how do you avoid your hair being stiff? Like if I put it to one side .. it stays like that the entire wash n go style .. I can’t ever just flip it over to the other side without wetting it
@thekaylaimani3 жыл бұрын
I find that if I apply gel thoroughly from roots to ends during styling and flip my head over and shake my head when it's about 80-90% dry it will cause the clumps to separate from each other (without causing too mush frizz) and make them more "flowy" or more susceptible to being moved around
@HeyAexis3 жыл бұрын

Hi Glam Twins, I love your channel (the more I watched it the more it gets addictive) because is the best. I have recently discovered your "More Murrell" a lifestyle channel (you cover very interesting topic) which really compliments "The Glam Twinz" channel. I noticed you haven't posted new materials since December? Am I correct? Is it because, the lockdown restricted you to go out and stuff? When people in this channel say do more lifestyle materials, you don't normally mention the "More Murrell" channel, is it because you stopped doing it? I would like to see you ( A lot of your other fans would agree too) twins create your own hair products that distinguishes many types of black hair texture... I would like to see you cover, subjects like, the kind of hair issues people have, for example Dandruff (the best products) hair fungus, how to recover from chlorine after swim? I am pretty much sure, your knowledge and expertise it is an asset for all types of black/afro hair texture and really we all can get a great benefit from it, for example this video you highlighted, the tricks on how to get a good hair result in a few days (before you have your normal washing routine) without washing your hair... It's amazing, seriously, it never occurred to me that you can get a great result by doing so... The other things I would like to know is , you normally see fashion houses collaborate with a creative celebrity to design their own clothing line for their fans/follows, but I have never seen/heard hair product companies do that, or may be they do and I am not aware of? As you know a lot of people are now into product that are free from Silicone and so on, do you girls believe that there are a lot of hair product that containing preservatives that release Toxic Ingredients and people say is best to avoid when buying hair care products? Because you are so transparent and very honest when giving what hair product you use that works for your hair, I would like to know, when you buying hair product do you check its ingredients? If yes, which ones are most toxic? I should stop here, I write too much in here, lol, Please answer at your convenient... Cheers!!!
